Pink takes the February 2009 cover of Seventeen, on newsstands TOMORROW (January 6). Here are some highlights from the mag, which is offering a chance to meet the 29-year-old singer:

On how it feels to have “So What” become the break-up anthem of the year and also her first number one song: It feels very confusing. It’s bittersweet. It’s funny, it’s empowering, it’s ‘Screw you,’ it’s all of that. It’s amazing to be number one but it’s ironic that it took [Carey Hartand I] breaking-up to get there. It’s a testament to how often people break-up, because everyone can relate to what I’m saying.

On if she’s over Carey: It’s up and down. You have strong moments and you have weak moments. But it’s not just been devastating - it’s been freedom, too. I told him that I would give him away at his next wedding.

On where her “meanness” comes from: My brother and I fought alot when we were kids. We were very violent. He could always beat me physically but I could always beat him with words. And you learn how to survive by how you are as a kid and can just be really mean. I can cut people down. I don’t like to. I don’t want to be like that anymore.”

Check out Pink’s new CD cover for Funhouse, the fifth studio album set to be released on Tuesday, October 28th.

The 29-year-old singer recently voiced her opinion about the Republican vice-presidential nominee: “If I were writing a letter to Sarah Palin, it would be a lot of whys and hows. Who are you? Do you know? Why do you hate animals? Please point out Iraq on a map … This woman hates women. She is not a feminist. She is not the woman that’s going to come behind Hillary Clinton and do anything that Hillary Clinton would’ve been capable of … I can’t imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade. She’s not of this time. The woman terrifies me.”

And speaking as an animal rights activist, Pink suggests animals should be just as scared of Palin as much as humans: “I can’t imagine shooting a wolf out of a helicopter.”

Pink (in Alexis Lamontagna) arrives at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards at Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday.

English comedian Russell Brand will host the event while Britney Spears will be opening up the night with a surprise performance. Kaba Modern and Fanny Pak of America’s Best Dance Crew will battle it out to determine who will present the Best Dancing in a Video award.

Pink goes shopping with her new man Todd Morse who is the guitarist from band Juliette and the Licks in Malibu, Calif. on Tuesday.

Back in February, Pink, 28, confirmed on her website that she had split freestyle biker husband Carey Hart.

The new couple was seen cuddling at West Hollywood’s Key Club in March, and then they played in the waves in Malibu back in April 12th.

Pink, born Alecia Beth Moore, just reached out to her friends and fans to talk about her divroce from freestyle biker husband Carey Hart. Here’s what she had to say on her official website Pinkspage.com:

“Hi everybody.

I wanted to reach out personally to all my fans/friends out there in the world. First and foremost, thank-you for all of your support and love, it means a lot to me right now. The most important thing for you all to know, is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This break up is not about cheating, anger, or fighting. I know it sounds like cliche bulls***, but we are best friends, and we will continue to be. All I know at this point, is that I want to make the best album I can, and Carey wants to do the best possible job he can with everything he has going on. He is a good man, so please support him as well. One never knows the future, but mine and Careys’ just might involve beach babies and sunshine one day. Just not right now.

Rocker Pink and freestyle biker husband Carey Hart have separated, according to People.

Michele Schweitzer, Pink’s publicist said, “Pink and Carey Hart have separated. This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger.”

The pair married in January 2006 in Costa Rica. Pink, 28 and Hart, 32, have reportedly denied that their marriage was on the rocks.

Pink and Carey Hart shrug off rumors of a break-up by going out on a motorcycle date near their home in Los Angeles on Friday.

The still-going-strong couple rolled out on motorcycles to a local cafe and even gave each other a goodbye kiss as they were about to ride off.

Apparently Pink wasn’t wearing her wedding ring at first and quietly slipped it back on so that paparazzi could see that couple were still together. (eyebrow raise)
