Penelope Cruz addressed those pesky pregnancy rumors at the Toronto International Film Festival screening of her new movie Broken Embraces on Thursday (September 10).

The 35-year-old actress told USA Today, “I start getting some presents from friends saying, ‘Congratulations, you’re pregnant.’ And I say, ‘No, I’m not, so return the presents.’ It’s amazing.”

To further Penelope’s story, she was seen smoking Parliament cigarettes with BFF Salma Hayek and two other gal pals at Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood.

“The pregnancy was a surprise, but they were getting married regardless,” a source tells Us Weekly.

Christina and her music producer husband The Dream (both 27) tied the knot at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on Friday (September 4).

Congrats to the happy couple. Looks like this marriage lasted longer than 55 hours after all!

Is Penelope Cruz trying to dispel pregnancy rumors by taking up smoking again?

It was reported back in July that the 35-year-old Spanish actress quit smoking. Last month, Penelope was confirmed as pregnant (although her reps have yet to confirm the news).

On Wednesday (September 9), Penelope and BFF Salma Hayek, who has a 23-month-old daughter Valentina, were seen smoking Parliament cigarettes with two other gal pals at Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood.

Smoking and pregnant don’t mix!

Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd and his wife Alice Evans welcomed daughter Ella Betsi Evans Gruffudd in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 6).

Ella, the first child for the couple, weighed 6 lbs., 3 oz. and was 21 inches long.

Ioan, 35, and Alice, 38, met while filming 2000’s 102 Dalmatians and wed in 2007. Alice starred in a few episodes of Lost as Young Eloise Hawking. The hit ABC series returns in January 2010.

As reported exclusively last month, the Madrid-born actress and her longtime love Javier Bardem are expecting their first child together.

Penelope, 35, and Javier, 40, appeared together in three films — Jamón, Jamón, Live Flesh and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Looking gorgeous as ever, Ellen Pompeo was all smiles as she left her home in Los Angeles on Wednesday (September 8) with husband Chris Ivery.

The 39-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actress has come under fire because of rumors that Chris had an alleged affair with a restaurant hostess. Ellen’s rep has denied all claims of any sort of affair.
