Leatherheads is a romantic comedy that of 1920s football, where the owner (Clooney) of a professional team drafts a straight-laced college sensation (The Office’s John Krasinski), only to watch his new coach fall for his fiancee (Zellweger). The football film is set for a nationwide Dec. 7 release.

After a year of heartache and tabloid headlines, Renee Zellweger looks ahead to the future in the new issue of Life Magazine. Here are the two more telling questions Renee, 37, answered:

Are you two still friends? I’ll tell you that I was saddened. I’ll tell you that it took . . . it’s, it’s not something I could [reason] away. It’s something that I’ll live through, but I don’t want to talk about it beyond that because it matters to me.

If you don’t [fall in love again], would you feel that there was something missing, having been in love before? I don’t know, because I’m different now. I’m different than I was entering into [her relationship with Chesney]. And so, I’m open to something new. . . . I just don’t have any expectations. That doesn’t mean that I’m not a romantic, and it doesn’t mean that I don’t have things that I believe in, because I do.

Renee Zellweger wore an interestingly cut black top with really handy pockets at the Miss Potter Tea Party and Beatrix Potter Gallery Launch in NYC earlier today. The event was hosted by Tribeca Cinema Series at the Tribeca Gallery. Also pictured: actress Emily Watson, director Chris Noonan.

Renee recently denied being romantically linked with Irish singer Damien Rice and Jack White of The Black Stripes: “I like Damien so much. He’s one of my favorite singers, such a neat guy. But he is not my boyfriend. As for Jack, we didn’t date during Cold Mountain, as was reported. In fact, having only a scene or two together, we barely spoke and didn’t get in touch again until six months later. People said it was this on-again, off-again relationship, but I’ve never had one of those. We were just good about protecting our privacy.”

Miss Potter tells the story of of Beatrix Potter, the author of the beloved and best-selling children’s book, “The Tale of Peter Rabbit”, and her struggle for love, happiness and success. US release dates: Dec. 29 (limited), Jan. 12. UK release date: Jan. 5.

Renee Zellweger (3rd highest paid actress this year) and Ewan McGregor walked the red carpet earlier today at London’s premiere of Miss Potter (no relation to Harry) in Odeon Leicester Square. IMDB poster DomBiLijah_Live_On reports from the premiere: “Met Ewan, who screamed back at us after me and a few other girls were screaming for him, he grinned and did this fangirly scream back.”
