Renee Zellweger sports new hair extensions on Thursday as she shoots her new film Chilled in Miami, currently shooting in Miami, Florida.

Here’s the movie’s synopsis via Wiki: “A high-powered consultant (Zellweger) in love with her upscale Miami lifestyle, adjusts to her new life in a tiny Minnesota town. She has been sent to oversee the restructuring of a factory. The locals give her a frosty reception. When she is ordered to shut down the manufacturing plant, the factory’s union man (Harry Connick, Jr.) fights to protect his co-worker’s jobs.

Chilled in Miami opens in theaters next year. Desperate Housewives’s Nathan Fillion and The Office’s Rashida Jones also star.

FYI: Vanity Fair canceled its most lavish bash for the Oscars because of the writers strike. “After much consideration, and in support of the writers and everyone else affected by this strike, we have decided that this is not the appropriate year to hold our annual Oscar party,” said a Vanity Fair spokesperson. “We want to congratulate all of this year’s nominees and we look forward to hosting our 15th Oscar party next year.”

Renee is the voice of Vanessa Bloome in Bee Movie, which has grossed over $100 million since it opened last month.

Last week, The Hollywood Reporter came out with the Top Ten List of Highest Paid Actresses. Zellweger ranked fifth, behind Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz and Nicole Kidman.

Renee Zellweger braves the rain at the UK Premiere of Bee Movie at the Empire cinema, Leicester Square on Thursday in London, England.

“I’m so wet,” gasped Renee. “My Carolina Herrera dress is soaking wet. I am like a sponge. My dress weighs another six stone!”

Renee Zellweger continues to work out her short do at the premiere of her film Bee Movie on Sunday in Paris, France. She reportedly was advised by her hairdresser to lop it off because it was damaged.

Renee said, “It was just a case of me going to the hair stylist and being told, ’We can’t help you anymore. We are going to have to take it off’.”

The 38-year-old actress wore a backless gray dress with her matching gray Christian Louboutin “Decolzep” pumps.

On watching (or not) Seinfeld: “Am I the only American you’ve ever met who’s never seen it? I know I’m the only American I know who didn’t watch,” she says, giving a grimace of sacrilegious guilt.

On turning 40: “My plan is to ignore the creaks and dents and the cumulative damage left over from skiing experiences gone bad and too many miles run in bad shoes and just live… I don’t want to not change, because what is there to look back on?”

On her perfect night in: “Anderson Cooper would probably be involved at some juncture.”

And the perfect night out: A margarita for one at the Palm, her favorite restaurant in the Hamptons, “or a really nice Christmas party. I love to go to somebody’s house when it gets a little bit later and there’s dancing and laughter and nobody’s pointing at the weird actor girl in the corner.”

On relationships: “I’m busy. I’m so busy catching up with the people I miss when I’m working that I’m not busy missing someone.” She smiles. “That’s it. I’m not sad about it, not at all.”

On life as a celeb: “There are certain things about a conventional life that I absolutely feel I miss. Absolutely. But I guess you choose your life, and I find myself in this pretty extraordinary, exceptionally bizarre life, and it’s everything I dreamed of as a child.”
