Robert Pattinson recently stopped by MTV Radio and spoke about Remember Me, James Dean and getting beaten up!

Here’s what the 23-year-old actor had to share:

On what attracted him to Remember Me: “I read it after the first Twilight film, and I always liked it. It was always in the back of my mind. And then the opportunity came up between the second and third ones, which was a small period of time, so you can only do a certain type of movie. I was trying to remember all the little things I’d read, and this was perfect, and it didn’t need any real prep time or anything. There was something different about it. It didn’t fit into a typical teen movie, and it seemed quite realistic.”

On James Dean comparisons: “I think James Dean was one of the most influential people on young guys — especially actors — definitely in the last 50 years. I’m not ashamed to say I am very much influenced by him.”

On who beat him up in school: “A lot of people, when I was younger. I was a bit of an idiot, always unprovoked — in my eyes, anyways….after I first started acting and I liked to behave like an actor — or what I thought was an actor — it generally provoked a lot of people into hitting me.”

Robert Pattinson takes a break from work on his next film, Bel Ami, in London, England on Friday (March 5).

The 23-year-old British actor walked around on set with co-star Philip Glenister. Bel Ami also stars Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci.

Rob recently told MTV that sex scenes in his post-Twilight films aren’t alike at all.

“It’s incredibly different,” he said. “The [sex scenes] in Remember Me are pretty tender, and in Bel Ami there’s something very mercenary about it in a lot of ways.”

Robert Pattinson waves to fans waiting outside the Today show at New York City’s Rockefeller Center on Monday (March 1) before the premiere that evening at the Paris Theater.

The 23-year-old actor spoke with Matt Lauer about Remember Me, the Twilight sensation and his steamy spread for Details magazine.

Robert Pattinson arrives with a new hairstyle at the Orange BAFTA Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 21) in London.

The 23-year-old British actor, known for his messy trademark hair, wore his shiny hair down and slicked to the side this time around.

Rob wore a Gucci made-to-measure black peak lapel two button tuxedo with white dress shirt, black silk tie and black leather lace up shoes.

Robert Pattinson and Emile de Ravin discuss their new movie Remember Me in the March issue of Vogue.

In the film, Robert, 23, plays a rebelling son in a broken family who falls in love with Ally, played by Emilie, 28.

During the interview, Rob and Emilie couldn’t help but to talk about how the world of Twilight followed them on the set.

“It was the most ridiculous experience,” Robert told Vogue. “You’re trying to stay in character and you’re trying to walk down the street, but all those people keep reminding you that you’re not this character, you’re—”

“A show pony,” Emilie interrupted while laughing.

Robert Pattinson puts on his best brooding face for the March 2010 issue of Details magazine, on stands February 23. Here’s what the 23-year-old Twilight star shared:

On the sexy Details photo shoot: “I really hate vaginas. I’m allergic to vaginas. But I can’t say I had no idea, because it was a 12-hour shoot , so you kind of get the picture that these women are going to stay naked after, like, five or six hours…Thank God I was hungover.”

On his dream job of political speech writing: “You’d have two or three minutes to affect someone. Make them hear you…I quite enjoyed doing the press for Twilight because there was a similarity. But you’d better have something to say. I felt a responsibility to be fascinating.”

On his emotional sight: “The only emotional connection of relevance is with my dog. My relationship with my dog, it’s ridiculous.”
