Rosie O’Donnell revealed on her Sirius radio show on Friday that her partner of five years, Kelli Carpenter, moved out of their home two years ago.

The admission came during a pet psychic segment on the show, after psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick asked about Rosie’s chihuahua Misty.

“Where did you get her from, Rosie? Because she says she came from somewhere and she’s happier with you,” she said. “She’s so spoiled and she loves to burrow.”

Rosie agreed, saying that Misty “burrows in the bed right next to me.”

When the psychic asked who looked after Misty occasionally, Rosie said, “What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog.”

The 47-year-old comedian and talk show host, who dressed as Glinda, recently landed a gig on Sirius XM Radio, USA Today reported.

“What I expect from the show is 100% Rosie all the time. Some expected stuff and some unexpected stuff, Scott Greenstein, president for Sirius XM, said. “Everything from aspirational to Hollywood to everyday mom-and-kids stuff.”

Rosie O’Donnell is returning to what she does best — entertaining! The 47-year-old’s TV show didn’t work out, so Rosie will be trying a different medium — radio!

Rosie Radio is a new two-hour morning talk show for Sirius XM Radio that will launch in the fall and air Monday through Friday.

“After I did [Howard Stern's Sirius XM show earlier this year], they called and asked if I was interested,” Rosie said. “I don’t really listen to radio, so I started thinking about it and listening. I asked if they could possibly do it at my house because that would really make it convenient for me with four kids, and they said yes, so I was like, ‘Wow. Let’s try that.’”

Rosie O’Donnell is attached to star in a revival of the 1937 Rodgers and Hart musical Babes in Arms.

Variety reports the new version of the Depression-era show will a feature a veteran theater person (O’Donnell) helping a group of kids put on a show in order to keep them from being sent to a workfarm.

Rosie last performed on Broadway in 2005’s Fiddler on the Roof.

Rosie O’Donnell treats her son Parker, who turns 14 next Monday, to Z100’s Zootopia 2009 concert at the Izod Center on Saturday (May 16) in East Rutherford, NJ.

On April 27, JustJared.com had the pleasure of attending Rosie’s Broadway Kids “Passing It On” benefit performance held at NYC’s New World Stages. The show included performances by Brian Stokes Mitchell, Chris Mann, Orfeh, Debra Barsha, and of course RBK. One stand-out performance was when the kids sang and changed up the lyrics to Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl” and Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.”

In between all of the acts, video clips were shown including one of Clay Aiken mentoring the kids at Rosie’s Maravel Arts Center, a four-story arts school in NYC.

During the show, Rosie did a little stand-up comedy, where she admitted it was the first time she ever wore Spanx and wished it had a hole for her to pee in. Hah!

By show’s end, Rosie thanked special guest Star Jones and partner Kelli Carpenter. Rosie even called out her son Parker, saying, “I’m your mommy. Look how handsome he is, everyone. It’s all in the genes.” (He’s adopted.)

Rosie O’Donnell surprised me when I interviewed her last month. The 47-year-old former co-host on The View had such an interesting take on life, relationships and raising her kids.

Before we get to the interview, though, Rosie’s Broadway Kids is having a benefit performance this Monday, April 27. Be sure to pick up your tickets! And onto the interview:

JJ: Do you read blogs at all?

RO: Not too much - I used to when I was blogging, but I kind of feel like the internet has changed a lot since I started going it. There’s just so much negativity. It’s now a place where people throw spitballs at each other under the cover of the net.

JJ: How do you keep up with news?

RO: I read the NYT and NY Post. You know, both ends of the spectrum. We live in a culture where we’re saturated with media everywhere we go. When I didn’t know there was supposed to be a snowstorm, I kind of felt happy because usually you know everything that everyone’s talking about. And the media kind of decides what people should be thinking about. I’ve spent far too many minutes contemplating what’s going to happen to the Octo-Mom, and frankly, I don’t think I ever needed to know that story. I think that’s an example of tabloid journalism at its worst. And it’s on regular nightly news. You know, when the economy is going under and people are unemployed in Detroit, Katrina has not been cleaned up and people are living in trailers. And then you hear about the Octo-Mom. I don’t know, I kind of feel like the media has lost its validity.

Rosie O’Donnell tried to revive the variety show format with Rosie Live! this Wednesday. Apparently the show flopped, with only 5 million tuning in to watch the NBC special.

Rosie, 46, blogged, “There will b no more. No ratings. Bad reviews. Yet still – a thrill 4 me… If the bloggers didnt like it, I knew it didn’t work.”

The reason for the cancellation was” “Not enough rehearsal. The live part wasn’t a plus. The in-theater experience didn’t transfer to TV. It was a pilot, meaning u try it [and] see if it works. Then if they pick it up, u fix it.”

But variety shows aren’t dead! In good spirits, Rosie says, “Many people r gonna try a variety show. One will work. Ellen tonight. The Osbournes have one. John Mayer. Check them out.”

Rosie O’Donnell is in negotiations to bring a weekly primetime variety show to NBC, reports EW.

Primetime is huge! You go, Rosie!

CBS is also said to be interested in giving the 46-year-old former View host her own series, but NBC is said to have the upper hand. Translation: NBC is giving more money to Rosie than CBS!
