Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire takes his daughter Ruby Sweetheart, 2, to check out motorcycles at the local Ducati dealership in Los Angeles on Sunday (May 17).

The 33-year-old actor and his wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, just welcomed a new son on Friday (May 8).

Tobey can next be seen in the war drama, Brothers, out December 2009. A young man Tommy Cahill (Jake Gyllenhaal) comforts his older brother’s wife Grace (Natalie Portman) and her children after his older brother Sam (Maguire) goes missing in Afghanistan.

It was announced last month that Tobey, 33, and Jennifer, 31, are expecting a new bundle of joy Spring 2009.

Tobey recently attached himself to Robotech, a live action remake of the classic anime series. He’ll produce and possibly star in the lead role.

Spider-Man 4 has reportedly landed the Pulitzer Prize winner and playwright David Lindsay-Abaire. Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire are back as director and star, respectively.

James Vanderbilt has already written a draft of the film which Lindsay-Abaire may work from. Spider-Man 4 is currently scheduled to be released in May 2011.

Tobey, 33, can be seen next year in Brothers, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman.

Kingston Rossdale, the 2-year-old son of rockers Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, enjoys a fun play date with Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire’s daughter Ruby Sweetheart, almost 2, on Tuesday at Coldwater Canyon Park in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The two tiny toddlers were pulled in a red wagon by Kingston’s nanny while Ruby’s mother, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, looked on. Kingston and Ruby even played with a dog during their wagon ride.

Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer take their daughter Ruby Maguire, 19 months, to Whole Foods in West Hollywood, Calif. on Sunday.

Last week, producer Laura Ziskin told theaters owners on Thursday that Spider-Man 4 is tentatively scheduled to arrive in May of 2011. Although rumors have been circulating surrounding both Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire’s return, they have made no commitments.

Ziskin said there was no finished screenplay, but that she and Sony Pictures were hopeful Spider-Man 4 could be ready in three years’ time.

Tobey Maguire and his jewelry designer wife Jennifer Meyer take their daughter Ruby Sweetheart, 19 months, to a playground in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

Tobey is part of the NBA Entertainment League and will compete in one of its 16 teams, which enter their 12th season in November.

“I’ve seen guys like Frankie Muniz, who couldn’t shoot a lick, drop 27 points sometimes because he learned how to shoot three pointers,” said league inventor and “commissioner” Shane Duffy. “Guys like [Leo] DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire have hired coaches in-house. These guys want to do better. They don’t want to embarrass themselves.”

Tobey Maguire takes his daughter, Ruby Sweetheart, 17 months, for a little walk around the block in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The father-daughter duo ate at Mauro’s Cafe inside Fred Segal on Melrose Ave with jewelry designer mama Jennifer Meyer. After the short lunch, Jennifer and a gal pal took Ruby for a shopping spree.

It was recently announced that Tobey’s production company Maguire Entertainment and Warner Independent Pictures have acquired rights to the Atlantic Monthly article “Marry Him! The Case for Settling for Mr. Good Enough” by Lori Gottlieb. Gottlieb will turn her article into the book “Marry Him! Finding Mr. Real” and then Maguire will adapt that book into a big-screen romantic comedy.
