Keira Knightley and blonder boyfriend Rupert Friend take a romantic stroll through Central London holding hands on Wednesday afternoon.

It was recently announced that Keira, 22, will be playing 18th century Georgiana, duchess of Devonshire, in Saul Dibb’s The Duchess.

Variety describes Georgiana as a controversial blueblood: “An ancestor of Princess Di, she lived an extravagant, profligate and promiscuous life of political and romantic intrigue, becoming an important powerbroker amid Blighty’s ruling elite but also running up catastrophic gambling debts. She was alternately feted and reviled, and widely caricatured by the popular press.”

The Duchess will be begin shooting in October.

Keira Knightley and actor beau Rupert Friend leave Italian restaurant Le Relais de Venise (The Venice Inn) restaurant in the Marylebone section of London on Friday.

The pair was also recently spotted enjoying a night out with actress pal Sienna Miller last weekend. Keira and Sienna have become fast friends since starring together on The Best Time of Our Lives

Keira Knightley’s boyfriend Rupert Friend is the latest celebrity, if you can call him that, to go buck wild on paparazzi.

Keira, 22, and Rupert, 26, were spotted leaving the Maddox club in London on Wednesday night.

Upon arriving home, Rupert lunged at two waiting photographers, hitting both of them in the face and pushing them out of his way while Keira hung back and watched. Bananas!

Word of advice, monseigneur. Don’t date a famous actress if you can’t handle the paparazzi!

The bundled up pair went grocery shopping together yesterday afternoon, picking up a variety of healthy foods, including their fave fruits — grape, oranges, and bananas.

Keira, 21, and Rupert, 26, have been dating for about a year now.

The press seemed to catch Rupert at almost all the bad times because in just about every photo his eye balls look like they want to jump out of their sockets. Keira on the other hand was firmly gripping his hand as they walked to and from the San Lorenzo restaurant amidst the photographers.

Rupert Friend, also known as the man who dates Keira Knightley and starred alongside her in Pride and Prejudice, was photographed outside the London apartment that the two of them share with no shirt on! He watched from the steps as two other folks moved a large cabinet case (actually…what is that thing?) up onto the sidewalk and into the apartment. More photos of him and his body in the gallery.
