Almost divorced Ryan Phillippe has a new film coming out Feb. 16, 2007 called Breach and its trailer was recently released, which can be watched below. Check out the Breach stills below too!

Here’s the synopsis of Breach: When young Eric O’Neill (Ryan Phillippe) is promoted out of his low-level surveillance job and into the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, his dream of becoming a full-fledged agent is on the verge of becoming reality. Even more impressive, O’Neill is hand picked to work for renowned operative Robert Hanssen (Chris Cooper). Laura Linney also stars.

• Ryan Phillippe’s first official public statement since divorce announcement: “I’m not a perfect person, but I’m not guilty of a lot of the things I have been accused of. My priority is and always has been the health and safety of my family.”
• Johnny Depp, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Ellen DeGeneres, Carrie Underwood, and Shakira lead the nominees for the 33rd annual People’s Choice Awards. The nominations were announced Tuesday at the Peninsula Hotel by Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan, Isaiah Washington, and Kate Walsh. The show will be broadcast from Shrine Auditorium on Jan. 9
• Tom Cruise is expected to attend the Conde Nast Black Ball at Hammerstein Ballroom tomorrow night. Cruise bought a $50,000 table at the event, which will be hosted by Alicia Keys and Iman.
• Abbie Cornish was a no-show at a screening for her movie Candy. Organizers say it had nothing to do with rumors that she is cause of Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon’s split last week.

• Courtney Love, who has been sober for 15 months, says Mel Gibson helped her get sober. According to Courtney, Mel and addiction counselor Warren Boyd showed up at a Beverly Hills hotel room while she was doing drugs with several men. Mel drew the men in Courtney’s crew away while Boyd stayed behind to stage an intervention, said Courtney in an interview with Diane Sawyer that aired Tuesday on Good Morning America.
• Catherine Zeta-Jones’s new skinny look shocked onlookers at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in Manhattan on Monday, according to the New York Post. “She’s gone from a 14 to a 10 virtually overnight,” one witness said.
• Donald Trump is at odds with a Florida town over the rights to fly a gigantic American flag atop an 80-foot flagpole at one of his resorts.
• Borat has been banned in Kazakhstan. The Asian nation’s movie theaters will probably not show comedian Sacha Baron Cohen’s film, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, the Kazah foreign minister said, adding that he did not find the film funny.
• Janet Jackson, Fergie, and The Killers will be performing at The 2006 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Monday, airing Dec. 4 @ 8PMET on FOX. Celine Dion, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Katharine McPhee, and Chris Daughtry are set to make guest appearances.

It was announced yesterday that Ryan Phillippe, 32, and Reese Witherspoon, 30, were officially separating. Their rep released this statement: “We are saddened to announce that Reese & Ryan have decided to formally separate. They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time.”

Just a day before the announcement, Reese was spotted in her hometown of Brentwood grabbing coffee to go with her daughter Ava, 7. More pictures in the gallery!

Ryan Phillippe was on The Early Show this morning talking about his upcoming film Flag of Our Fathers (out today). Here are choice quotes from the interview:

• On his dreams coming true: “This was a dream for me to be able to do a film with that sort of content and these people. My grandfather was my hero. He won a Bronze Star in Germany. He would tell me stories, periodically, usually about mechanical things, tanks and guns, not about death and his friends dying next to him.”
• On working with director Clint Eastwood: “You hear the stories and the mythology, and it’s all true. The guy is incredible. He’s an amazing man. Look at him, 76 years old. He climbed the place we shot Suribachi. They had a helicopter that could have taken him up. The man is out there with two bags over his shoulders at 6 in the morning climbing this mountain. He’s something else.”
• On Oscar night (”Crash” won Best Picture, wife Reese Witherspoon won Best Actress “Walk The Line”): “So surreal. I have little recollection of that night because of how overwhelmed I was in a sensory manner. It’s almost dream-like.”
• On working on another war-related movie (Untitled Kimberly Peirce Project): “The men and women who make that sacrifice and are willing to give up their lives in a lot of cases are heroes to me.”
