Scarlett Johansson and her new husband Ryan Reynolds will be turning to adoption at some point.

Ryan tells UK’s Glamour magazine, “My oldest brother is adopted and I have every intention of adopting at some time. I’m very grateful for having my brother in my life. I couldn’t be more pro-adoption. There are plenty of kids in the world that need it.”

As for his beauty and brains, Ryan shared, “I have my father’s face and body, but my mother’s unshakeable thirst for knowledge. She works part-time jobs, but basically she’s been a student her whole life. She still goes to university and she’s in her 60s.”

Ryan Reynolds strips down to his impressive birthday suit in the new romantic comedy, The Proposal, in theaters now.

The flick, which also stars Sandra Bullock, smooched its way to No. 1 at the box office this weekend, raking in $34.1 million. That’s the best opening of Sandy’s career!

The Jack Black-Michael Cera comedy Year One opened at No. 4, pulling in $20.2 million. The Hangover and Up! placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Ryan Reynolds gets mobbed by fans as he leaves Late Night with Jimmy Fallon at NBC Studios in New York City on Thursday (June 18).

The 32-year-old actor’s new movie The Proposal is due out in theaters today (June 19). Reynolds also paid a visit to MTV studios on Thursday in New York City and also to David Letterman on Wednesday.

Reynolds is on the cover of the latest issue of EW. When asked to name his Must Video Game, he said, “I don’t really play videogames. Is there a way to waste more f—ing time? The Internet’s enough. The last videogame I played was Ms. Pacman.”

On his Must TV Show, A&E’s Intervention: “Real schadenfreude stuff. The first season or two is all about alcoholics and heroin addicts, but then as the seasons progress, they feel the need to sensationalize it a bit. So by Season 5, you get to people who are chemically unable to experience joy unless they’re smoking a cat, or something equally disturbing. I love it.”

His Must Scapegoat For The Moral Decline Of Modern Society: “I find that whole situation to be horrible and awful. I wanna see Jon & Kate Plus Eight: The Musical. Jon versus Kate. I wanna see four kids on one side and for kids on the other, snapping menacingly to music as they walk toward one another.”

On his sex symbol status: “Really embarrassing. I think I fear more than anything just sounding like a complete a–hole when I have to answer that question. If you take any of that seriously, you need to be euthanized, ASAP.”

Sandra, 44, paired her asymmetrical Alexander McQueen dress with Bally “Ilya” black suede and lizard ankle strap platforms. Ryan, 32, wore a khaki, one button, peak lapel suit, beige knit, light blue shirt and blue tie all by Dolce&Gabbana.

Sandy recently told Us Weekly why she had stopped doing romantic comedies for several years. “They are terrible, they are bad,” she said. “They are not funny, so they shouldn’t be a romantic comedy and most of the time they are not romantic. So they shouldn’t be called a romantic comedy. They should be called that other kind of film. [But] I love my comedy too much to bastardize it with bad romantic comedy. So I was like, ‘I’m going to find another way to work and do it in a way that I love.’ So I’m not calling this a romantic comedy.”

The Proposal costars Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock (in Abaete) hit the red carpet together at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday evening (May 31) in Universal City, Calif.

Sandra, 44, talked about the nude scene in The Proposal: “Sadly, my first and last nude scene got laughs, so I had to be very secure with that. It was all about choreography. I mean, literally when you read it on the page, you saw it, and then you realized, ‘OK, there is no way to shoot this unless you are buck naked!’ Then I went, ‘Go to the gym, cut out the carbs!’ I’m glad it made people laugh. Shooting it was odd. There are things stuck to areas that generally you don’t have things [stuck to]. I mean, you have things covering [your body], but not stuck to it. And then they got unstuck, and oddly we didn’t care because we were so tired.”
