Looks like Ryan Reynolds will be taking off his shirt in every future movie of us… and with good reason! The buff-bodied actor plays a troubled television star in his new film, The Nines. The film actually consists of three short films, each featuring the same actors in different — and sometimes overlapping — roles. This is Ryan’s part of the story:

“The Prisoner” tells the story of a troubled television star (Ryan Reynolds) who finds himself under house arrest, with his chipper publicist (Melissa McCarthy) and disillusioned next-door neighbor (Hope Davis) providing his only links to the outside world. Mysterious events lead him to question whether one or both women are deceiving him about the nature of his incarceration.

The film stars Dakota Fanning’s sister, Elle, and will debut later this month at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

Rocker Alanis Morissette and her ex-fiance, actor Ryan Reynolds, seem to have rekindled their romance after the reportedly split couple were spotted "rolling around" together during a romantic day out in a Vancouver, Canada park. The pair were planning a late 2006 wedding but reportedly ended their engagement last month. A pal says, "Someone spread that rumor, but it’s not true. They are still very much together."

Above are "not broken up couple" Alanis Morissette and Ryan Reynolds having dinner this past Thursday at Kay ‘n Dave’s Restaurant in Brentwood, Los Angeles.  Alanis, 32, and Ryan, 29, announced their engagement in June 2004 but supposedly called it off June 2006.
