The 3-D sci-fi flick is about a band of humans who are pitted in a battle against a distant planet’s indigenous population. Starring: Terminator Salvation hunk Sam Worthington, Star Trek’s Zoe Saldana, Lost’s Michelle Rodriguez, Sigourney Weaver and Giovanni Ribisi.

‘Avatar’ Trailer
Zoe Saldana grabs onto Aussie co-star Sam Worthington at the premiere of their new James Cameron-director film Avatar in Tokyo on Saturday (October 17).
The 31-year-old actress, who accessorized with Melinda Maria earrings, wore dresses and shoes, all by Giambattista Valli.
Zoe recently told Esquire, “Sam is very manly. There’s something about Aussies. They’re potent and intense but also very giving. Australian men remind me of Dominican men, I guess. They come here and all they have is the shirt on their back and passion, and it’s like everyone else can go f–k themselves. I love that.”

Terminator Salvation stud Sam Worthington heats up the September 2009 issue of Esquire. Here’s what the 33-year-old Aussie actor had to say:
On bringing depth to the characters he plays: “Hopefully I’m bringing more complexity to it than Jean-Claude Van Damme does. No offense to the dude.”
On not being intimidated by producers and movie studios: But I don’t ever feel that there’s a pressure of a suit going, ‘If this f—s up, it’s because of you,’ because I’ll go, ‘You hired me, d—head!’”
On ripping on celebs who are in it for the fame: “Oh, isn’t it cool? It’s so cool being an actor! It’s so cool having my face on a bus. That’s bulls–. I hate people like that.”
On what he told Avatar director James Cameron: “I’ll do whatever you need me to do to sell your f—ing movie. I’ll call my first kid f—ing Avatar if you want me to, if that helps you sell it.”
Sam was most recently cast opposite Charlize Theron in Tourists.

Aussie actor Sam Worthington will replace Tom Cruise and join Charlize Theron in The Tourist, a remake of the 2005 French spy thriller Anthony Zimmer.
According to Variety, The Tourist is about an Interpol agent (Theron) in Europe who manipulates an American tourist (Worthington) in an attempt to flush out an elusive criminal who was her former lover.
Sam, 33, has been in much-demand since starring in the summer blockbuster Terminator Salvation. He next stars in James Cameron’s Avatar, out in December.
Reviews for Terminator Salvation have started to surface. The flick, which opens this Friday (May 21), stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Helena Bonham Carter, Anton Yelchin and rising star Jadagrace. Check out the first reviews:

Sam Worthington grabs hold of his girlfriend Natalie Mark at the premiere of his new movie, Terminator Salvation, at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 14) in Hollywood.
Sam talked about his role as part-human robot Marcus Wright, “Oh, you get bumps and bruises and cuts, but it’s the Terminator; it’s not Pride and Prejudice. I’m a 32 year-old Aussie — I had to take a hit. It’s part of the fun.”
Terminator Salvation — the fourth installment in the sci-fi series — opens everywhere on Friday, May 21.
