Scarlett Johansson is August 2008’s Cosmopolitan cover girl.

The issue, which hits newsstands on Tuesday, has Scarlett sharing what she learned about love: “I’ve always been in monogamous relationships. … Monogamy can be hard work for some people. I don’t think it applies to everybody, and I don’t think a lot of people can do it.”

Ms. Johansson, 23, confirmed her engagement to actor Ryan Reynolds, 31, back in May.

Miller has described the main character, The Spirit/Denny Colt (Gabriel Macht): “The character has a terrifying side to him. This is a man who’s died and came back to life. So it twists into fantasy. And of course there are tons of women in it. There have to be — it’s The Spirit. They’re all in love with him, and he’s in love with all of them. You might say he’s a bit of a slut.”

Scarlett, 23, and Ryan, 31, have been romantically linked for about one year. Ryan called off his engagement to singer Alanis Morissette back in February 2007. Scarlett dated actor Josh Hartnett for about two years until the end of 2006.

Conveniently, Scarlett’s debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head is due out soon. May 20!

Here is the world premiere of Scarlett Johansson’s first music video to “Falling Down,” off her debut studio album, Anywhere I Lay My Head.

The cover song, which has David Bowie also on vocals, is originally on Tom Waits‘ album Big Time.

The album is set for release through Atco/Rhino Records on May 20. Watch the music video below!

Ryan Reynolds holds hands with girlfriend Scarlett Johansson as they cross the street together in Newton, Massachusetts on Saturday.

Mr. Reynolds is in town shooting his new romantic comedy, The Proposal, about a pushy boss forcing her her young assistant to marry her in order to keep her Visa status in the United States. Sandra Bullock also costars.

Ryan, 31, and Scarlett, 23, have been together for about a year now.

Just last week, Ms. Johansson released the cover art for hew new album “Anywhere I Lay My Head”, out May 20.
