Thanks to People, the 24-year-old blonde beauty once again channels screen siren Marilyn Monroe.
“Scarlett is sure of herself. She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easygoing. She is very Dolce & Gabbana,” designer Stefano Gabbana has said to WWD.
The first Scarlett ad for Dolce & Gabbbana was released earlier this week.
Scarlett Johansson channels Marilyn Monroe in her latest campaign for the new Dolce & Gabbana makeup line.
“Scarlett is sure of herself,” designer Stefano Gabbana told WWD. “She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easygoing. She is very Dolce & Gabbana.”
When describing the makeup line, Stefano added, “We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress. We worked on the makeup line like we work on a clothing collection — you can change makeup like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood. We wanted to create makeup with a scent. Domenico and I remember when we were children and opened our mother’s handbags — the scent of her lipstick trailed out. I observed that when women open makeup, they smell it first.”

On her engagement to Canuck cutie Ryan Reynolds: “I wasn’t surprised that it was happening, but anyone being presented with a beautiful diamond ring, as a girl, you just squeal with delight. You say you can’t believe it, but of course you really can.”
On cheering on Ryan from the sidelines during the New York City Marathon: “I went to some random spot and saw everybody going past. It was really incredible. I’m a horrible runner; I can barely put one foot in front of the other. I saw that J.Lo did a triathlon and I’m like, Damn, girl, you just had twins! It’s amazing. I’m so not a sporty spice; I’m a stay-at-home-and-veg spice.”
On the press rumors that she’s pregnant: “I got these calls that I was engaged way before it happened. I’ve also been pregnant several times. With, like, sextuplets. That must mean I’ve been eating way too many bagels or something. I’m not pregnant and I’m not going to be anytime soon.”
On her dream role: “Every actor wants to work on a Western. I would run a brothel, like a madam or something. I’m working with what I got. It’s only so long that people are going to want to see me in a corset. So I might as well do it now.”

In preparation for Valentine’s Day, the 24-year-old actress was photographed by Alexi Lubomirski in a Oscar de la Renta red tulle gown with organza flowers. (This is the subscriber cover–on the newsstand cover, she’s standing in front of a big heart wearing Roberto Cavalli.) The pics were taken in mid-November in the newly renovated Alice Tully Hall in New York City’s Lincoln Center.

The Spirit star Scarlett Johansson was just interviewed by the LA Times. Here are some of the highlights:
On starring in three Woody Allen movies in the last few years and eager for more: “I would do Woody’s shoeshine. I’m lucky to be able to fit into that young-woman category in his mind, so I hope he keeps writing for young women. I think he will.”
On being excited about aging in the entertainment business: “I look forward to the opportunity that it will bring [to play rich, complex roles.] I feel like the hype that comes with being young in the industry will kind of dissipate and that there are some really good roles in my future. Then again, I say that as an actor who thinks every job is their last job…. I would love to be able to have a production company [some day] and encourage other directors and writers to follow their vision.”
On spending last summer planning a secret wedding to Ryan Reynolds: “It was my mission to have a moment of privacy, to do something for myself. I was happy with the results of that.”
Scarlett’s next film, He’s Just Not That Into You, is due out in February.

The 24-year-old actress blamed her “celebrity cold” on The Spirit co-star Samuel L. Jackson, saying she caught it from him. Scarlett believed that for this reason, her cold had some “value.”
During the show, Mrs. Reynolds blew her nose into a tissue provided by Jay, put it into a ziploc bag and autographed the bag. The tissue is now up for auction on eBay and is up to $2,000!!!!

Scarlett Johansson arrives at NBC studios in New York City for an appearance on “The Today Show” to promote her new film The Spirit.
The 24-year-old actress’ rep has said the recent interview in Cosmopolitan U.K. was, “wholly fabricated” and called the story an “obvious attempt… to gain monetarily by misinforming their readers.”
Her rep said Scarlett, “has at no point granted U.K. Cosmopolitan an interview, and she has never discussed her personal relationships with the publication.”
