• Michael Jackson is now scheduled to perform when he accepts a lifetime achievement award at the World Music Awards in London Nov. 15, organizers said. Roberto Cavalli, who met Jackson at his new home in Ireland on Monday, will design Jackson’s costumes.
• Keith Urban, who last month entered a rehabilitation center for alcohol abuse, won male vocalist of the year last night at the CMA’s for the second year in a row. When Keith’s name was announced, he received a standing ovation, and his award was accepted by Ronnie Dunn. Scarlett, 21, found herself in the arms of London fashion designer Roland Mouret (above) most of the night. Roland is part of Bono’s RED initiative to fight Aids and HIV in Africa. Roland’s collaboration with GAP will see him make 10 styles of dress, three of which will benefit RED, all of which will be available Nov. 7. Roland’s famous Galaxy dress was worn by a bevy of Hollywood beauties including Scarlett.

• Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie left Malawi Friday after gaining custody of a 1-year-old boy they adopted during a weeklong tour of orphanages. Yohame Banda, father of newly adopted boy David, said he is happy for his son and that Madonna and Guy “are a lovely couple.”
• Usher has withdrawn from Broadway musical Chicago because he has a sever case of strep throat. The singer has been sidelined since last Friday and was scheduled to give his farewell performance tomorrow night.
• John Mayer alluded to Jessica Simpson, who he was once rumored to be dating, on his blog yesterday. Mayer said Sheryl Crow should retaliate for a prank he played on her “by dressing up in a blond wig and roller skates, licking an ice cream cone,” a la Simpson in her video for “A Public Affair.”

• Michael Jackson sported women’s pumps, shades, and a big floppy hat as he tried to go unnoticed in Saint-Tropez. The king of pop was accompanied by a similarly outfitted young boy, according to the Daily News.
• Lost star Josh Holloway tells the November issue of Men’s Journal he worries that the show’s twisty, secretive plot will put him out of work. “Everybody in the cast worries about being killed off, and we wouldn’t know until they handed us the script - three days before shooting,” the 37-year-old actor says. “It’s a sensitive issue. People have houses here, kids in school. Most of us aren’t in our twenties anymore.”
