Speedman, who plays an uncle who raises a teenager whose parents were involved in a fatal traffic accident, has said, “Atom liked me in My Life Without Me, but he thought I was too young. But we did an impromptu audition, I flew up and convinced him. That’s my goal, to work with great filmmakers. He’s an artist, but he’s not a blacksuit-wearing pretentious prick. I’d do one line in his next movie if he’d let me.”

Speedman and costar Rachel Blanchard (both 32) say they’re going to spend the next month or so traveling Europe, rather than returning to L.A.

“I’m sending my clothes back home, packing a knapsack for my travels, and I’m going solo,” said Speedman.

Scott Speedman and his pal take their bicycles out for a ride through Los Angeles on Friday.

Later in the day, Scott, 32, was seen stopping for a quick break on a bench and putting on his Bose headphones.

Mr. Speedman has a horror film called The Strangers coming out later this month.

The film is about a couple, Kristen McKay and James Hoyt (Liv Tyler and Speedman), who arrive to their remote vacation house after returning from a wedding reception. Planning on spending a romantic night in, they receive a knock on the door. A violent battle ensues between the couple and three masked assailants who appear to have no motive for what they are doing. The resulting clashes force the couple to go well beyond what they thought themselves capable of in order to survive.

The Strangers opens in theaters everywhere on May 30.

Hotter-than-hot Scott Speedman (Felicity, Underworld) was out at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah this weekend to pimp his new movie Weirdsville. He bumped into The O.C.’s Adam Brody (pictured above) and pregnant Felicity co-star Keri Russell (pictured below). Felicity reunion!!

In Weirdsville, Scott, 31, plays slacker Dexter alongside American Beauty’s Wes Bentley, who plays the other slacker Royce. Royce and Dexter live in the strange little town of Weirdsville. When Royce’s girlfriend Matilda (Taryn Manning) overdose’s on their stash and dies, they decide to bury her in an abandoned Drive-In theater. Things get out of control when they discover Satanists performing a ritual sacrifice right where they were going to bury the body. Um, weird.
