Ricky Gervais Gets Down With Elmo

Add The Office creator Ricky Gervais to the set of Sesame Street and you come up with outrageous comedy.

Check out outtakes from his interview with Muppet Elmo. The full episode airs this November when Sesame Street opens with its 40th anniversary.

John Mayer most recently made an appearance Sesame Street, as did Queen Latifah. Last summer, soccer stud David Beckham dropped by.

John Mayer and Queen Latifah pose with Elmo and Rosita to promote the upcoming PBS primetime special, “Coming Home: Military Families Cope With Change.”

This half-hour HD special tells stories of service members who return home with injuries, visible and invisible, and explores the heroic struggles their families face in discovering a new way of finding a “new normal.” It salutes the extraordinary courage and strength of these military families and offers the general public a powerful glimpse into what they often must endure.

The special will air @ 8PM on PBS on April 1, in conjunction with April as the “Month of the Military Child.”

David Beckham: Tickle Me, Elmo!

David Beckham joins Elmo in helping Sesame Street kick off its 39th season on Monday, August 11th.

The children’s show also recruited a slew of other celebrities to help celebrate including Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum, Neil Patrick Harris, Jenny McCarthy, Jack Black, Feist, Will Arnett, LL Cool J, Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson, , Molly Shannon, Jonah Hill, Brian Williams, Gilbert Godfrey, Megan Mullally and Randy Jackson.

David Beckham Guests on Sesame Street

It’s a sunny day for David Beckham! The soccer ace is set to be a guest on Sesame Street!

Said Beckham on his blog, “Last week, I filmed an appearance on the children’s show Sesame Street. I can remember watching the program when I was young, so I was delighted to be asked on to appear as a guest.

A source close to David added, “He loves dealing with kids and thought it would be a great way to get through to them. He has developed a great understanding speaking to children with his own boys and through his coaching at the Beckham soccer schools. He had a great time filming it, a real laugh.”

Anderson Cooper on Sesame Street

Anderson Cooper fills in for Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street, reporting on news for GNN (Grouch News Network).

The CNN/GNN anchor reports on Grouch journalism and speaks with spoofed journalists Walter Cranky (retired iconic American broadcast journalist Walter Cronkite) and Dan I’d Rather Not (Former longtime anchor for the CBS Evening News Dan Rather).
