Shakira enjoys her vacation in South America with boyfriend Antonio de La Rua at her farm “La Colorada” in Uruguay on Sunday (December 20).
The 32-year-old singer is featured in AOL’s Spinner site, which has just published its Artists and Songs of the Decade lists. “Hips Don’t Lie” is named the 42nd best song of the decade, while Shakira herself is the 24th best artist.
“With a name like Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, it’s no wonder this Colombian dynamo answers to her first name only, Spinner said. “After crossing over into the English-speaking market in a very big way, she has earned the right to one-name superstardom.”

Shakira spends her afternoon speaking to a house of students at Oxford University’s Student Union in Oxford, England on Monday (December 7).
The 32-year-old singer spoke about the need for universal access to education, eradicating poverty and supplementing economic growth.
Shakira said she has an idea of how she wants the youth of 2060 to remember next year: “That our mission for global peace consisted of sending 30,000 educators to Afghanistan, not 30,000 soldiers,” she said. “That in 2010, world education became more important than world domination.”

“She Wolf” is Shakira’s third English studio album and will be available on November 23rd. The new album features collaborations with Lil Wayne and Timbaland.
Shakira will also be headlining Y100’s Jingle Ball in Miami!

Shakira shows off her best assets on this revealing cover of Rolling Stone.
The 32-year-old “She Wolf” singer spoke to the magazine about femininity, motherhood and the pressures of being a woman.
“You know, women have to make enormous efforts through life, much larger than men,” Shakira shared. “We deal with so many pressures: the pressure of aesthetics, and how society wants us to deliver our performances as mothers, daughters and wives.”
But she’s ready to focus on starting family, Shakira said. “My body feels like it is asking to reproduce, to have a huge belly and carry babies.”
The singer has been in a relationship with investment banker Antonio de la Rua for the past nine years.
