Shannen Doherty was the first contestant voted off Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday night (March 30). Pamela Anderson also landed herself in the bottom two this week.

Apparently Kate Gosselin and Buzz Aldrin have really strong fan bases!

“I think that dancing isn’t really my thing,” Shannen lamented. “I’m an actor and it’s what I love to do. I did this for my dad, and I did exactly what I wanted. And I think it’s fate — my partner is hurt… I’m a bit sad but mainly for my partner [Mark Ballas] and my dad. I love you all.”

She tweeted to Mark, “I love you and I’m sorry.”

To her Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs, she wrote, “I love you. Now if I can stop crying…”

Kate Gosselin tries to wow the crowd as she dances the jive with partner Tony Dovolani on Monday (March 29) during the second week of Dancing with the Stars.

Unsurprisingly, Nicole Scherzinger scored the best of the episode, earning the first 10s of the season for her jive with partner Derek Hough.

While ratings for the show were down from last week’s numbers, the show still brought 22.56 million viewers. Pretty impressive!

Thanks to its all-star cast, Dancing With the Stars pulled in a record 23.9 million viewers last night during the two-hour season premiere.

Kate Gosselin has said she’s not the greatest of dancers and judge Bruno Toniolo agreed when she did the Viennese waltz to Billy Joel’s “She’s Only A Woman”.

“The technique was terrible,” he said. “It looked like [your partner Tony Dovolani] was pushing a shopping cart around the floor. You have to exude something.”

Top scores of the night went to Pussycat Doll frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger and Olympic figure skating champ Evan Lysacek. And of course Pamela Anderson ripped her partner Damian Whitewood’s shirt open!

The tenth season of Dancing with the Stars will kick off later this month with the following contestants: Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, The Bachelor’s Jake Pavelka, reality mom Kate Gosselin, figure skater Evan Lysacek, sportscaster Erin Andrews, Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, football star Chad Ochocinco, 90210 alumna Shannen Doherty, soap star Aiden Turner and comedienne Niecy Nash.

The two-hour season premiere of Dancing with the Stars airs on Monday, March 22 @ 8-10PM ET on ABC. I didn’t tune in for the previous nine seasons of DWTS but with contestants like these, I may start!

WALSH REUNION

Jason Priestley will be sitting in the director’s chair for the upcoming 18th episode of the hit CW drama 90210, reports EW.

Priestley’s on-screen sister, Shannen Doherty, is expected to return for two more episodes later this season, one of which Priestley might direct. Says executive producer Gabe Sachs, “I think it would be a kick for Jason to work with any of his [former 90210 costars], and it would also add something special to that episode,” he says. “But we don’t know whether that will happen yet.”

Priestley’s episode is slated to air this spring.
