Olympic gymnasts (and gold medalists) Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin were as cute as can be and both said, “I follow you on Twitter!” The U.S. Olympic team reads JJ!

Ice skating legend Michelle Kwan was nice enough to talk, as well as former WWF star, The Iron Sheik and another famous Jared (the Subway commercial guy who lost over 200 pounds)!

Shawn shared about her future TV appearance, saying, “I did The Secret Life of The American Teenager and Dancing with The Stars, of course but I think I’m going to be on Secret Life again, so make sure to watch that!” Nastia talked about her fashion interests, saying, “I would love to get involved with fashion more, and it’s something I like to do - modeling and acting. But right now I’m back to full-time training and getting ready for London!”

Olympic Gold Medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson prepares to get into the Coca-Cola car on the track prior to practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 on Saturday (May 23) at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.

The 17-year-old Dancing with the Stars champ recently talked about her favorite performance of the season in an interview with the LA Times. “Well, of course the freestyle, by far, is my favorite. We just put so much effort into that and really just went crazy with it, and had so much fun. It was just our best costumes, our best performance, and all we did was go out there and have fun. But my other one was the paso. I loved that dance, I felt I really had a great time in that dance and showed everybody that I could do any type of dance,” she said.

Shawn also talked about the difference in being in the public eye because of DWTS and being in the Olympics. “It’s different, of course, just because it’s totally different experience and different audience,” she said. “I’m getting almost more attention from this than from the Olympics. It’s one of those things where it’s more in the public eye. It’s a TV show rather than a sport, and it’s sad to say, but the TV shows usually get more viewers than sports on a regular basis.”

Shawn Johnson leaves a practice session with her Dancing with the Stars partner, Mark Ballas in Los Angeles on Thursday (March 26).

Surrounded by private security and the Los Angeles Police, Shawn stayed strong and smiled despite the recent arrest of a stalker. According to the Associated Press, the crazed fan “drove from Florida in a car found with loaded guns, duct tape and love letters to meet the 17-year-old Olympic gymnast.” The man, Robert O’Ryan, was caught when he tried to jump a security fence where the ABC show, Dancing with the Stars, is filmed.

Olympic Gold Medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson practices her dancing moves with Mickey Mouse on Friday (February 27) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Shawn, 17, is part of “ESPN The Weekend,” a special event that continues through March 1, at the Walt Disney World theme park.

Olympic gold-medalist Shawn Johnson teams with Ashton Kutcherand Demi Moore to help raise money on Friday in Iowa for flood relief charities in Eastern Iowa after a 500 year flood devastated the area.

The trio attended an Iowa-Iowa State college basketball game and also stopped by a meet-and-greet session. Both Johnson, 16, and Kutcher, 30, are from Iowa.

Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson lands in Washington D.C. to meet with President George Bush at the White House on Monday.

“I am heading to the White House along with all USA Olympians for an honorary visit which I am so excited about,” the 16-year-old gymnast wrote on her blog.

At the airport, one videographer asked Shawn: “Do you look up to the Jonas Brothers? Are you excited to meet President Bush?”

She responded, “Yeah, I am.”

When asked if President George Bush will take away their Gold Medals to help bail out the economy, Shawn just laughed.

Shawn Johnson shows off her Olympic gold medal at Late Show with David Letterman in New York City on Monday.

The 16-year-old gymnast was scheduled to head back to her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa, but decided to make a stop to see David Letterman!

The energetic Olympian won one gold and three silver medals at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

USA gymnast Shawn Johnson came up big on the balance beam and won gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing on Tuesday. Her score of 16.225 bested teammate Nastia Liukin who scored 16.025. Cheng Fei of China came in third at 15.95.

The U.S. and China came away as the top two performing countries in women’s gymnastics at this year’s Olympics.

Also pictured below is Nastia Liukin winning her gold medal in the women’s all-around competition last week. Did you know she’s only 5′3″? Her legs make her seem way taller!

FYI: Shawn Johnson is technically a dwarf, coming in at 4′9″ (4′10″ or shorter is the standard).
