Here is the first movie still from Eagle Eye, the upcoming thriller starring Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan.

Shia is teaming up again with Disturbia director D.J. Caruso for Eagle Eye.

LaBeouf, 21, plays a slacker who is accused of being part of a terrorist plot, along with a single mother played by Monaghan. They’re then tangled up in a terrorist cell plotting a political assassination.

Eagle Eye opens in theaters on September 26.

Despite being one of Hollywood’s hottest young actors, t-shirt-and-jeans-guy Shia LaBeouf still carries out the mundane task of cleaning his pick-up truck in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The 21-year-old drives a Ford F-150 Pickup.

Shia recently pleaded not guilty to an unlawful smoking charge after receiving a ticket on February 18 in Burbank.

His next film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, hits theaters worldwide on May 22nd.

Photographer Danielle Levitt was in charge of the day’s shoot, which included Mr. LaBeouf in various buttondowns, ties and suits.

A warrant has been ordered (but not issued!) for Shia’s arrest after he received a ticket on February 18 in Burbank for unlawful smoking, a misdemeanor. (Neither he or his attorney Michael Norris showed up in court). Norris appeared on the Transformers star’s behalf Wednesday morning and pleaded not guilty. Since then, the warrant was withdrawn. Shia LaBeouf plays Indiana Jones’ sidekick named Mutt, according to Wikipedia. Producer Frank Marshall said Shia’s character is a motorcycle-riding greaser. Though it has been rumored Mutt is Indiana’s son, Spielberg laughed off the idea that “it’s a father-son story. The new Indy movie is about a great quest, an amazing quest—and that’s all I’m gonna say.”

A bloodstained Shia, 21, was spotted puffing away on his favorite cancer sticks between takes.

Eagle Eye centers around a young slacker (LaBeouf) who returns home after the mysterious death of his successful twin brother. Said slacker and a single mother (Michelle Monaghan, pictured) find out that they have been framed as terrorists, and they are coerced into becoming members of a cell tasked to assassinate a politician. Son and single mom must find a way to escape the cell and extricate themselves.

Eagle Eye is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on Aug. 8, 2008.
