Life Unexpected actress Shiri Appleby lends her support to designer Monique Lhuillier backstage at her Fall 2010 Fashion Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Promenade at Bryant Park on Monday (February 15) in New York City.
Here’s what the 31-year-old star shared:
JJ: What do you love about Monique?
SA: She’s just so feminine and she has an edge to her - later on in the season [on Life Unexpected], I get into a wedding dress and I was just very adamant that I wanted to be wearing Monique Lhuillier. This is my first show, so it’s nice to be at her show for the first time!
JJ: Did you shoot that scene already? How was it?
SA: We shot it! Amazing, the whole show. We finished shooting on Wednesday. I love the glamour of her dress - you walk out and it’s strapless and I had one of those long veils - it was very Princess Diana! I just feel really happy that people are watching it and paying attention to things!
JJ: What’s your favorite prop from the show?
SA: I think probably the radio mics we use in the radio station - I just love any of those scenes so it makes me feel like a real radio DJ.
JJ: Are you obsessed with reality TV at all?
SA: No - unfortunately, I work so much I don’t watch too much TV! I’ve been watching [the 80's show] Thirtysomething on DVD - I don’t think that counts!

By the grace of the fashion gods out there, I was able to sit next to Shiri during the show. “Loved popping my fashion show cherry with you!” she laughed.

Did anyone catch last night’s premiere of Life Unexpected?
I loved Lux (Brittany Robertson), who was adorably cute, witty and charming. It’s no wonder the showed premiered to the largest audience (2.74 million) in the Monday 9-10PM hour in over a year on The CW. The episode was amazingly heartfelt and was immediately rewarded with a season pass on my TiVo!

Life Unexpected actress Shiri Appleby and co-star Rafi Gavron arrive together at Vancouver Airport in Canada on Sunday (January 3).
Last Wednesday, Shiri, 31, Rafi, 21, and the rest of the cast cast and crew watched the first three episodes of their new show together. Life Unexpected creator Liz Tigelaar said, “Best night ever with half the cast last night. We watched three episodes of #Lifeunexpected. Love when they clap for each other after a good scene.”
On the show, Rafi plays a love interest for Lux (Brittany Robertson), the daughter of radio DJ Cate Cassidy (Appleby).

Synopsis: Fifteen year-old Lux (Robertson) has spent her life going from foster family to foster family. She has finally decided to become an emancipated minor. During her journey through the legal maze, Lux finds her biological father, 30-something Nate “Baze” Bazile (Polaha), who lives above a bar and is astonished to learn he has a daughter. Lux learns that her mother is Cate Cassidy (Appleby), a star on local radio, along with her boyfriend, Ryan Thomas (Kerr Smith). A judge decides to grant temporary custody of Lux to Baze and Cate instead of emancipating her.

Zach Braff enjoys a romantic date with on-again girlfriend Shiri Appleby in New York City on Thursday despite rumors that their relationship was over and Zach’s unwillingness to settle down.
The couple was seen out in public last October in Beverly Hills. They were also seen holding hands in West Hollywood in September.
Scrubs is making the move over to ABC after the official announcement came out last week. The show will air in midseason at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays. “It helps us as we’re expanding our comedy franchise,” said ABC President of Entertainment Steve McPherson.
Scrubs star Zach Braff and former Roswell actress Shiri Appleby have called it quits, reports Life & Style.
Says an insider, “Shiri and Zach were a great match. They both come from traditional Jewish backgrounds, but Shiri wanted to start a family and Zach shuddered at the thought of being tied down. He can’t imagine getting married before he’s 40.”
Shiri, 29, “wasn’t interested in a casual relationship,” says the insider. “She knows what she wants, and Zach wasn’t ready to commit to that.”
Seems like Zach, 32, just isn’t ready to settle down!
The couple was last seen on a dinner date together last October.
