Eliza Dushku and her boyfriend, actor and retired professional basketball player Rick Fox, hit up the Comic-Con convention on Thursday (July 23) in San Diego Calif.

Eliza, 28, joined Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Elizabeth Mitchell to speak at the Wonder Women: Female Power Icons in Pop Culture panel.

Sigourney Weaver is “Incensed by Sarah Palin”

Sigourney Weaver, who guest stars on the Season 2 premiere of Eli Stone as Eli’s therapist, tells TV Guide, “The idea that they would be so bold as to create a show about faith was very exciting.”

She adds, “I’m not big on organized religion, but I wanted to convert to Judaism for a while. I went and lived on a kibbutz in Israel, but it was so lame because it was very conservative and all the women worked in the kitchen. It wasn’t a bunch of us out in the fields picking oranges and singing the way I had hoped, you know?”

On her new role as Eli’s therapist, she says, “I actually have a therapist. She’s very smart and we try not to talk about politics because we’re both incensed about Sarah Palin.”

Diddy would approve this message.

Eli Stone premieres this Tuesday, October 14th @ 10PM ET/PT on ABC. Katie Holmes’s will be featured the week after on Oct. 21.

Nicole Kidman Receives Elle Hollywood Tribute

Nicole Kidman looks green glamorous in Prada at ELLE Magazine’s 15th Annual “Women in Hollywood” Tribute held at The Four Seasons on Monday in Los Angeles.

The 41-year-old Aussie actress is the November 2008 cover girl for Elle. Here are some fantastic highlights from her interview:

On becoming a mother later in life: “At 41, it’s a more painful love. I look at that little girl, and I’m, like, Oh, no, what’s going to happen? It’s almost like my heart is stretching; I’m feeling all these muscles stretch with emotion. It’s a beautiful love but there’s a lot of fear and pain for her life, and for Bella’s and Connor’s life. I like to believe that nothing was stopping Sunday from coming into the world.”

On her screen life compared to real life: “My screen life was far more exciting and beautiful than my real life. I went through this long period of being alone. I was very, very damaged, and I did not want to jump into a relationship, because I would have nothing to give, just shreds of what I was.”

Shirley MacLaine on Nicole: “She has this heavenly quality. I find her so otherworldly beautiful, otherworldly intelligent, otherworldly resilient, I call her My Alien. And only an alien could lose all that baby weight in two weeks.”

Naomi Watts on Nicole’s personality: “She’s not a wallflower, but she can be very shy. By nature she’s someone who isn’t instantly the most comfortable person in the room, but she fights that.”

Ben Chaplin (her Birthday Girl costar) on Nicole’s humor: “She likes naughty-boy humor. She’s very happy with that. I remember the director saying, ‘If Nicole’s flagging, you just need to sauce her up a bit.”

Kate Bosworth Gets Wiggy Wit It

Kate Bosworth, wearing a brunette wig, was spotted filming in NYC yesterday on the set of The Girl in the Park with co-star Sigourney Weaver. I hope it’s the eye make-up and not anything else that’s making Kate look a little out of it. The legs still look like twigs though! Keri Russell (not pictured) also stars in this film, which is due out in 2007.

Here’s a synopsis of The Girl in the Park: Enduringly traumatized by the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter 15 years ago, Julia Sandburg (Weaver) has cut herself off from anyone once near and dear to her, including her husband Doug and her son Chris, who tried for years to penetrate her wall of isolation and despair, without success. But when Julia meets Louise (Bosworth), a troubled young woman with a checkered past, all Julia’s old psychic wounds painfully resurface, as does her illogical and increasingly irrational hope that Louise may be the daughter she lost so long ago.
