The top girls include Channing Cooke, Ariana Debose, Ashleigh Di Lello, Mollee Gray, Karen Hauer, Noelle Marsh, Pauline Mata, Kathryn McCormick, Bianca Revels and Ellenore Scott; and the top guys are Phillip Attmore, Billy Bell, Ryan Di Lello, Russell Ferguson, Kevin Hunte, Jakob Karr, Legacy Perez, Peter Sabasino, Victor Smalley and Nathan Trasoras.

Katie Holmes performs an homage to the legendary Judy Garland in which she dances to and sings Garland’s classic “Get Happy” on the 100th episode of So You Think You Can Dance on Thursday (July 23).

The 30-year-old actress is one of the founding members of the Dizzy Feet Foundation, which provide scholarships and assistance to talented underserved youth to help them realize their dreams of becoming professional dancers and will also help elevate dance instruction nationwide.

“I think it’s important for children to experience music and dance,” said Katie. “Every child should have the opportunity to discover what it is they like and have access to the very best in that pursuit.”

Katie Holmes walks back to her car wearing a fun and flirty dance number after working with the hit dance competition show, So You Think You Can Dance, at CBS Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday (June 14).

SYTYCD is filmed in front of a live audience at CBS Studios, so the 30-year-old actress must be doing a special segment for the show! L&S sources say Katie is working on a slinky Broadway-inspired number!

Last weekend, Katie met with FOX producer, Nigel Lythgoe, who’s a judge on SYTYCD.

“She’s met with Nigel Lythgoe and everyone hopes she appears on this season or next season of the show,” a show insider tells Life & Style.

So You Think You Can Dance airs TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on FOX.

Nathan Trasoras was the brilliant dancer who auditioned to Daphne Loves Derby’s “Pollen and Salt” during Thursday’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance. Here were the glowing comments from the judges:

“That was really damn extraordinary. You were pretty beeping impressive.” — Adam Shankman

“You did everything we ask of a dancer — you had contrast, you covered that stage, you have technique. You have a great stage presence.” — Mary Murphy

“One of the best centers like (brothers) Travis [Wall] and Danny [Tidwell]. You’re a brilliant dancer.” — Nigel Lythgoe

Unfortunately, Nathan’s only 17-years-old and therefore ineligible to compete this season. But that’s okay! Nigel gave him a ticket straight to Vegas for season six this fall! Nigel said, “If you do not come back next year, I will search you out and drag you here. We really want to see you here next year.”

Can’t wait to see Nathan in the fall! Who’s with me?!

Nigel Lythgoe took to his Twitter page to defend controversial comments he made on Thursday night’s premiere of So You Think You Can Dance.

The 59-year-old judge criticized male partners Misha Belfer and Mitchel Kibel, saying, “I think you will probably alienate a lot of our audience. I mean, we’ve always had the guys dance together on the show, but they’ve never really done it in each other’s arms before. Do you know what? I’d like to see you both dancing with a girl.”

After the show, Nigel blogged, “The same-sex ballroom guys did remind me of Blades of Glory. However, I’m not a fan of Brokeback ballroom… I am very sad the word ‘homophobe’ is being used. That is someone who hates homosexuals. I dislike effeminate dancing! Wake up and listen!”

So You Think You Can Dance will kick off its fifth season with a two-night, four-hour premiere event from 7-9PM this Thursday (May 21) and Wednesday (May 27) on FOX.

British beauty Cat Deeley will be back to host and Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy will rejoin the judges’ table.

The show has become such a summer hit, the sixth season of SYTYCD will be as part of FOX’s programming schedule this fall.
