Solange Knowles takes the latest cover of Honey Mag. Here’s what the 23-year-old rebel (and younger sister of Beyonce) had to say:

On whose closet she’d love to raid: “Probably Björk. It would be a tie between her and Grace [Jones], but I think I’d have to go with Björk because over the years there have been so many different phases and extremes and color. I am a person who loves color and I think it’s the most beautiful backdrop for life.”

On five words to describe herself: “Water, blood, melanin, bones, and … vajajay.”

On five words that the public would use to describe her: “The general perception is that I am crazy, maybe? That I am attention-seeking. But I think everyone can say that I’m smart. At least I think I come across smart. I don’t really know (laughs) because I don’t really care.”

Solange Knowles arrives in style at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday (September 13).

The 23-year-old singer will be helping the show by singing with the house band tonight, rapper Wale and go-go band UCB. She’ll also be joined by Kid Cudi, 3OH!3 and Pitbull.

The 2009 Video Music Awards will be hosted by Russell Brand and will air live @9PM ET/PT on MTV.

Singer Solange Knowles dons an interesting jacket with a rope design at the BCBG Max Azria Spring 2010 Fashion Show at the Tent during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at NYC’s Bryant Park on Thursday (September 10).

The 23-year-old younger sister of Beyonce rubbed shoulders with designer Max Azria backstage.

During the show, Solange sat front row next to Amanda Bynes, Lynn Collins and Joanna Garcia.

Beyonce and her younger sister Solange Knowles promote the “Samantha Thavasa & Disney Handbag Collection” at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel on Monday (August 10) in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan.

Solange shaved her head last month “to be free from the bondage that black women sometimes put on themselves with hair.”

America’s Best Dance Crew will be featuring Beyonce’s music in next Sunday’s episode (August 16). Beyonce will even address each crew via taped personal messages. Can’t wait!

Solange Knowles shows off her newly shaved head while picking up her son Daniel, aka Julez, from school in Los Angeles on Thursday (July 23).

The 23-year-old younger sister of Beyonce Knowles took to her Twitter to defend her newly shorn look. Solange said, “Listen, if I wanted to make a statement, I would have twitpic’d (uploaded pictures). I was simply taking my son to school. Stupid paps took pic. I’ve had my hair cut like this for two weeks. I was NOT inspired by anyone but myself. I have done this twice in my llife. I was 16. I was 18. Did not care about your opinion then. Don’t care now. Don’t need your attention. I am #3 trending topic [on Twitter] before IRAN and some of you can’t even locate it on a map. It’s sad. I just wanted to be free from the bondage that black women sometimes put on themselves with hair. I’m not mad at all of you that have made your opinions know and have sent negative energy my way. I expected this of you.”

Beyonce Knowles makes a stop at Rodeo Drive’s Ilori boutique on Monday afternoon (July 13) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 27-year-old songstress shopped for high-fashion sunglasses with her mom Tina and 4-year-old nephew Daniel (his mom is Beyonce’s younger sister, Solange Knowles).

Daniel wore a cool blue pair of Oakley sunglasses and a t-shirt that read, “My Auntie Rocks.”

Sophia Bush helps get fun started at the “OPen Campus” launch party at Mel’s Diner on Tuesday (July 7) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 27-year-old One Tree Hill actress was joined by Brody Jenner, AnnaLynne McCord, and musicians Bow Wow and Solange Knowles.

The campaign is playfully dubbed, “OPen Campus” and the photo shoot featured the celebrity cast getting ready for the school year; cheering on the bleachers, running down the steps of the school, on the football field and hanging out on a custom Op bus.

Today (July 8) is Sophia’s 27th birthday! Happy Birthday Sophia!!!

Sophia Bush is just one of the many celebs starring in Op’s fall ad campaign titled “OPen Campus.” Other stars getting ready for the back to campus season include 90210 starlet AnnaLynne McCord, singer Solange Knowles, Good Charlotte front man Joel Madden, The Hills player Brody Jenner and Disney star Cody Linley.

The Op campaign was shot on June 6th at University High in Los Angeles by photographer Larry Bartholomew. Watch the promo vid below featuring Op, exclusively available at Wal-Mart!
