Funny men Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart share a hug together after pretending to accept the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award, which actually was won by Extras‘ Ricky Gervais at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Gervais was not present to accept the award, so Stewart said, “He couldn’t be here tonight, so we’re giving it to our friend Steve Carell.” Steve ran onstage and they all hugged and yelled.

To start off the segment, Colbert came out utilizing a leaf blower, Stewart said his gas-powered blower was not “green.” Colbert insisted it was green. “It’s powered by Al Gore’s tears,” he said, adding that there were plenty to fuel his tank. “He’s a crybaby. We’re so lucky he’s not president.”

The Office star Steve Carell sits down with Elle magazine and gives us a glimpse of the one Carell persona we don’t know by heart. Here are some hilarious interview highlights:

On sweating when he’s nervous: “See, I’d never done any of these talk shows, and I just sort of loathed-especially at first-being myself because it was so much easier for me to be a character. So the first talk show I was ever on, the Jimmy Kimmel show, I broke into a flop sweat to rival the moment in Broadcast News. I got nervous, and then I got nervous about sweating, which made me sweat more…So halfway through the interview, he stopped and said, ‘You sweat more than any person I’ve ever seen on my show.’ So we made it into a bit. We came back from commercial, and I’d poured water all over my head, I’d drenched my clothes. When they turned the camera back on, I was saying, ‘Wow, I feel so much better.’”

On soaking up the good life: “You know what I had for lunch? A steak sandwich. I didn’t get the hamburger. The steak was four dollars more.”

On who makes him laugh right now: “I think Sacha Baron Cohen is a really talented and funny guy. And Dave Chappelle. I met him at a urinal at the NBA All-Star game, so that was my favorite trip to the men’s room ever.”

Michael is being considered for a position in corporate and has to recommend his replacement, but while the group expects a fun outing at Lake Scranton, Michael has planned a day of “Survivor”-like competitions to find his successor. Meanwhile, Pam is not asked to join in any of the activities and is forced to watch Jim and Karen have fun together.

Hilarious new promos for The Office have been released and there is lingerie everywhere! Be sure to check out the reaction of Angela (wearing a cat sweater) to Michael holding up a pair of panties at the lingerie shop. Hilarious!

Here’s a little synopsis from NBC: “Outrage breaks out in the office after Phyllis gets an unexpected eyeful from a flasher. Michael makes some important personal decisions when he takes the women on a special outing. Meanwhile, Dwight and Andy work on catching the predator.”

Spider-Man’s Tobey Maguire and Evan Almighty’s Steve Carell try to plug up the slime in the wall onstage during the 20th Annual Kid’s Choice Awards held at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion on Saturday night in Westwood, Calif.

They presented “Favorite Animated Movie” to Happy Feet with Nicole Kidman accepting on director George Miller’s behalf. She was funny to go up on stage to accept the award (a Nickelodeon blimp this year), remove her jacket, and then hug the slimed Tobey and Steve.

New promos for The Office have arrived. Looks like Michael is going to jump off the Dunder-Mifflin building!!

Andy returns to the office after several weeks of anger management training, determined to make a fresh start with all the Dunder-Mifflin employees. Meanwhile, it’s safety training day in the office, and Michael and Dwight are on a mission to illuminate the true dangers of the workplace.

I never knew how awful Pam’s shoes were until now with this bird’s eye view. Wow, those are 50 kinds of ugly. And noticet the smashed watermelon on one of the cars in the parking lot!
