Summer Glau joins her co-star David Lyons to promote their new series The Cape during Comic-Con 2010 on Friday (July 23) held at California’s San Diego Convention Center.

The former Terminator actress (in a Corey Lynn Calter “Tina” split sleeve blouson dress) just turned 29 on Saturday. Happy birthday, Summer!!!!!

The Cape received mixed reviews after the pilot was screened for conference-goers. @aperren writes, “Just saw pilot for The Cape, new NBC show. Pilot OK, a bit overstuffed, *might* have potential with time but could see it collapsing quickly.”

@leahalexis adds, “The Cape was surprisingly appealing; kinda choppy initial pacing but pretty charming.”

Summer Glau looks lovely at the 2010 NBC Upfronts held at NYC’s Hilton Hotel on Monday (May 17).

The 28-year-old actress (wearing an H&M dress and a Lucite Chain Heart Necklace in Nude by Tarina Tarantino) posed for photos with her The Cape co-star, David Lyons! The two star in a superhero drama about a good cop caught in a bad situation who becomes The Cape, his son’s favorite comic book superhero!

Summer Glau types away on her invisible keyboard as investigative blogger Orwell in this first still from her upcoming NBC show, The Cape.

The one-hour superhero drama series stars ER’s David Lyons (pictured) as Vince Faraday, an honest cop on a corrupt police force, who finds himself framed for a series of murders and presumed dead. He is forced into hiding, leaving behind his wife, Dana (Jennifer Ferrin) and son, Trip (Ryan Wynott). Fueled by a desire to reunite with his family and to battle the criminal forces that have overtaken Palm City, Vince becomes The Cape - his son’s favorite comic book superhero - and takes the law into his own hands.

Summer laughed, “We joke because I’m sort of [The Cape's] sidekick that he’s going to have to call me ‘Pashmina’ or something … or ‘Mini Cape’ … ‘Shawl.’”

Summer Glau is all smiles as she checks out the merchandise at a farmer’s market in Los Angeles on Sunday (April 25).

The 28-year-old actress stayed close with her boyfriend, photographer Cooper Reynolds Gross, and checked out a strawberry balsamic concoction. Cooper’s mom also came along for some shopping!

Summer Glau and her boyfriend, photographer Cooper Reynolds Gross, pick up some fresh blooms from a farmer’s market in Los Angeles on Sunday (March 21).

The 28-year-old actress, who starred as a lead in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, recently joined the cast of the NBC drama, The Cape. Summer will play Orwell, an investigative blogger who goes after the bad guys.

Hopefully we’ll get to see the pilot soon!

Summer Glau is coming back to primetime with NBC’s superhero-themed drama pilot, The Cape.

THR reports the 28-year-old actress will play Orwell, “a cute and intrepid investigative blogger who fearlessly goes after corrupt cops and costumed bad guys.”

The pilot centers around a former cop (David Lyons) who is “set up as a criminal and becomes a masked hero, the Cape, to clear his name.
”

Summer has a huge sci-fi audience after starring in Fox’s Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse.

Summer Glau takes a romantic stroll with her boyfriend, photographer Cooper Reynolds Gross, on Sunday afternoon (November 29) in Los Angeles.

The cute couple, who have been dating since the beginning of the year, held hands while they picked up fresh flowers and some baked goodies.

FYI: Summer, 28, played Cameron Phillips, the sexy female Terminator in FOX’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The series only lasted two season, going off-air last April.
