Taylor Swift did a phenomenal job hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live yesterday.
In addition to her genius opening monologue, the 19-year-old country superstar poked fun at Twilight’s Kristen Stewart, Kate Gosselin and Shakira.

Taylor Swift sings and plays the guitar to “Monologue Song (La La La)” during her Saturday Night Live opening monologue.
The 19-year-old country superstar (in Badgley Mischka) pretty much killed it, addressing a lot of her relationship issues covered in the tabloids. Here are some sample lyrics:
– “I like writing songs about douchebags who cheat on me but I’m not gonna say that in my monologue.”
– “You might think I’d bring up Joe [Jonas], that guy who broke up with me on the phone, but I’m not gonna mention him in my monologue. Hey Joe, I’m doing real well. Tonight, I’m hosting SNL but I’m not gonna brag about that in my monologue. La la la. Ha ha ha. La la la.”
– “And if you’re wondering if I might be dating the werewolf from Twilight. Hey Taylor [Lautner]! (blows kiss, winks) But I’m not gonna comment on that in my monologue.”
– “You might be expecting me to say something bad about Kanye [West] and how he ran up on stage and ruined my VMA monologue. But there’s nothing more to say cuz everything’s okay. I’ve got security lining the stage. It’s my SNL monologue.”
Taylor finished off the song by saying, “We have a great show. Kanye West is NOT here, so stick around. We’ll be right back.”

Taylor Swift and SNL regular Bill Hader make light of Kanye West ruining Taylor’s VMAs win while shooting a promo for this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live.
“I want to look nothing like myself,” Taylor told MTV of her hosting gig. “I told all the writers, ‘Don’t count anything out.’ I want to go completely, 100 percent in. I don’t want to be halfway involved. Just because I have a lot of things to do as far as being musical guest and host doesn’t mean I don’t want to live up to my full hosting demands.”

Taylor Swift is solidifying her spot in history books this week, claiming the Billboard record for the longest charting album of this CENTURY.
Released in October of 2006, the 19-year-old country singer’s self-titled debut CD now spends its 157th week on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart, more weeks on the chart than any album this decade, surpassing the record previously held by Nickelback. That’s AMAZING!
