Former Crash star Terrence Howard has secured a record deal with Columbia Records, reports EW.

“The full name [of the project] is Terrence Howard Presents Me and the Band of Kings,” says a label rep.

The debut CD “is slated for a fall release.”

Terrence, 39, is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Here are a slew of new August Rush movie stills featuring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Keri Russell, Terrence Howard, Robin Williams and young’n Freddie Highmore.

Synopsis: August Rush tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York’s Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Williams), August (Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth.

Three new celebrities join the (PRODUCT) RED Gap Campaign, a for-benefit brand designed to help eliminate AIDS in Africa — actress Anne Hathaway; Grammy Award-winning artist John Legend surrounded by the African Children’s Choir; and Grammy Award-winning musician and producer Wyclef Jean embracing his daughter Angelina. The campaign also reintroduces a series of images that debuted this summer of actor Terrence Howard and his three children Hunter, Aubrey and Heaven; Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines alongside her sons Beckett and Slade; and actress Abigail Breslin with her friend Curious George. (Maines is married to Heroes star Adrian Pasdar, aka Nathan Petrelli.)

Jessica Alba presented the award for “Outstanding Motion Picture” on stage with actor Terrence Howard on Friday, June 1, 2007 at the 2007 ALMA Awards in Pasadena, CA.

The nominees in the category were Babel, Bobby, and Quinceañera.
