Thandie Newton hits the red carpet at the premiere of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, held at the Curzon Mayfair on Tuesday (February 7) in London, England.

The 39-year-old English actress was joined by her husband, writer/producer Ol Parker.

Ol wrote The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which tells the story of British retirees traveling to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel.

Thandie Newton walks the red carpet in Osman at the 2012 Laureus World Sports Awards held at Central Hall Westminster on Monday (February 6) in London, England.

Also attending the event, which highlighted this year’s international sports stars: Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, who are expecting their first child together.

Here’s the synopsis: A successful, wealthy businessman, Wesley Deeds (Perry) has always done what’s expected of him, whether it’s assuming the helm of his father’s company, tolerating his brother’s misbehavior at the office or planning to marry his beautiful but restless fiancee, Natalie (Gabrielle Union). But Wesley is jolted out of his predictable routine when he meets Lindsey (Thandie Newton), a down-on-her-luck single mother who works on the cleaning crew in his office building.

When he offers to help her get back on her feet, the chance encounter with someone so far outside his usual circle ignites something in Wesley. This one good deed may finally spark his courage to exchange the life that’s expected of him for the life he’s always really wanted.

The movie, out February 24, also stars Rebecca Romijn, Eddie Cibrian, and Jamie Kennedy.

Thandie Newton gets ready to bow at the curtain call during press night for Death and the Maiden at the Harold Pinter Theatre on Monday (October 24) in London, England.

The 38-year-old British actress wore a Giorgio Armani black silk shift dress and matching leather court shoes, while her costars, Tom Goodman-Hill, and Anthony Calf, wore suits from the Italian fashion house.

Thandie and the cast later celebrated at an after party held at Mint Leaf Restaurant & Bar, where she changed into a Giles dress with Nicholas Kirkwood heels and Solange Azagury-Partridge jewelry.

“In some ways this was above my expectations of where I could start in theatre, but it came along and I wasn’t going to say no,” Thandie told the BBC about making her stage debut.

Gwyneth Paltrow meets up with Thandie Newton at a dinner for Coach on Wednesday (September 7) at The Arts Club in London, England.

The 38-year-old actress stepped out in Lanvin‘s bright citrus liquid jersey draped cocktail dress and carried Coach‘s Madison embossed python clutch.

Gwyneth, who’s the new face for Coach, recently told E! Online that she’s so “happy” her good pals, Jay-Z and Beyonce, are expecting their first child.

“I think motherhood is the biggest blessing of all time and it give your life real meaning,” she shared.

“It’s always interesting when you’re a woman with success and you’ve achieved a lot, and then you have a baby and you realize everything you thought was an achievement really is nothing until you have a kid, and I think that will be [Beyonce's] experience,” she added.

The 38-year-old English actress, who wore a vintage dress, shared her experiences growing up in two distinct cultures and compared it to playing many different characters as an actress.

“When I act in a role, I inhabit another self, Thandie said. “I give it life for awhile and no matter how other these selves might be, there all related in me.”

Thandie Newton and Kerry Washington share a hug at V-Day’s Viva Vevolution! fundraiser held at Urban Zen on Wednesday (June 8) in New York City.

The actresses, 38 and 34, were joined by author and activist Eve Ensler for the celebration. Kerry and Thandie honored Haitian activist Myriam Merlet onstage at the event.

“Wonderful day with my @VDay v-board sisters. What amazing work…” Kerry wrote on her Twitter account.
