Rashida Jones: TV’s Sexiest Star Tue, 20 March 2007
Rashida Jones, aka Karen Filippelli from The Office, makes the list of TV’s 40 hottest stars who steam up the screen in TV Guide’s “Sexy Issue.”
Co-star Ed Helms (Andy Bernard) sounds off on 31-year-old Rashida Jones:
Rashida Jones and I first met on The Office set. We were in the same situation at the same time — the new kids — and she was an ally right off the bat. I think her character’s appeal stems from being straightforward and honest, but also up for a good joke. In real life, Rashida is like that. She’s very present, quick with a joke and makes people feel comfortable. For someone with her background — being Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones‘ daughter — she’s so accessible and down-to-earth. There’s an inherent graciousness in that; it’s refreshing. One of the things that Rashida and I have in common is that we’re both closet dorks. We both sang in a cappella groups in college. Occasionally, we’ll just sort of break into a cappella renditions of stupid songs just to keep each other amused. To me, anybody who doesn’t mind acting like an ass is admirable.”

Rashida Jones is a Paper Doll Fri, 09 February 2007
Femme not-so-fatale Rashida Jones, who plays Karen Filippelli on NBC’s hit-show The Office, has a “Paper Doll” feature in this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly. Rashida on her making the show: “I kept saying to Ed Helms, [who plays the dim-witted rageaholic Andy], I felt like like I had won some radio contest and they had thrown me into my favorite show.”

Check out this fantastic clip of The Office’s John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Ellen was doing a taping of her own show during the Golden Globes last night, so she sent a life size cardboard cut-out of herself and interviewed celebs on the red carpet over the air. Here’s the video of John and Jenna:

‘The Office’ Women Snag Some Swag Sun, 14 January 2007
Some of our favorite women from The Office checked out the 2007 World Talent Style lounge held before the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton yesterday. Pictured left to right: Kate Flannery (Meredith), Angela Kinsey (Angela), and Melora Hardin (Jan Levinson) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
And good news! The Office received the highest ratings of the season with 10.2 million viewers during last Thursday’s episode, “Traveling Salesmen.” WOOHOO! This is simply beyond words. It’s incalculable…
And yes, that’s Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young, the recently departed narrator of Desperate Housewives). She looks like a giant at almost six feet! Also pictured: marketing manager of Radisson Plaza, Aman Bhandari and a representative from the Scandihoovians display (standing next to Angela).
