Jessica Simpson is Smilin’ in the Rain Fri, 16 November 2007
After co-hosting The View, Jessica Simpson lunches at midtown Manhattan’s Dos Caminos (mmm Mexican) before returning to her hotel on Thursday. She toted around the “Pacha Bucket” Bag in Pytho.
Jessica, 27, showed us all how to stay dry on a rainy, messy NYC day: All you need are a pair of fabulous knee-length boots and a really tall, attentive handler/bodyguard with an umbrella by your side.
Check out the trailer for Jessica Simpson’s upcoming comedy Major Movie Star, in which she plays Megan Valentine, a pampered film-star who enlists in the Army, but soon discovers that she’s in way over her head.

Rosie: ‘The View’ Sucks Without Me Tue, 25 September 2007
Former talk show co-host Rosie O’Donnell slams The View for saying that ratings are up +16% versus YAG.
FYI: YAG stands for “Year At a Glance”, an annual schedule of implementation initiatives.
Here is Rosie’s blog entry, which is titled “TRUTH IN ADVERTISING, BABY”. Leave your thought in the comments — does Rosie prove her point?
You decide! Rosie says,
“While im all about creative use of ratings, I think we need to do something with the lovely people at the view insisting that the ratings are up without rosie when in fact they are not…
Here is the real data based on live plus same day viewing:
P2+ 3,576 + 7.8%
HH 2.8 rating versus 2.66 YAG + 5.3%
W 18- 49 1.47 versus 1.6 YAG - 8.8%
W 25-54 1.77 versus 1.92 YAG - 8.5%
W 18-34 1.03 versus 1.23 YAG - 19.4%
W 50+ 2.3 versus 2.13 YAG + 8.0 %
Note that the show is bought from an advertising perspective which is their only revenue stream on either the W 18-49 or 25-54 demo meaning they are LOSING revenue versus YAG. Also, the most valuable demo is the younger one 18-34 which is really hemmoraging. They are picking up older viewers 50+ which are of less value to advertisers.
Again - they should really use the ACTUAL REAL numbers in their press statements and if they don’t, then maybe we should…..
TRUTH IN ADVERTISING BABY!!!”
Keri Russell @ The View Wed, 02 May 2007
Keri Russell glows in her sexy maternity wear on Wednesday’s episode of The View. She chatted up her midwife, how great her pregnancy is, and the forthcoming romantic comedy Waitress co-starring Nathan Fillion. Watch the video below!
The late Adrienne Shelly starred, wrote, and directed the film. She was horrifically murdered in her NY apartment last year. Waitress opens in select theaters nationwide today.
Below are pictures of Keri at the premiere of the NYC movie Waitress on Sunday at the AMC Loews Theater in Times Square.

Rosie O’Donnell Leaves ‘The View’ in June Wed, 25 April 2007
Rosie O’Donnell could not come to a contractual agreement with ABC daytime, so her run as co-host on The View will come to end mid-June.
Barbara Walters said in a statement, “I induced Rosie to come back to television on The View even for just one year. She has given the program new vigor, new excitement and wonderful hours of television. I can only be grateful to her for this year. I am very sad that ABC Daytime could not reach an agreement with her for a second year. We will all miss Rosie on The View, and hope she will be back with us often next season. She remains for me a cherished friend and colleague.”
Rosie added, “This has been an amazing experience, and one I wouldn’t have traded for the world. Working with Barbara, Joy and Elisabeth has been one of the highlights of my career, but my needs for the future just didn’t dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me. To all the viewers out there, I just want to say ‘thank you’ for opening up your hearts and your homes to me this past year. But you can always find me at rosie.com. Here’s hoping there’s more confetti for all of us going forward.”
