Miley Cyrus helps Verizon Wireless and People Magazine honor Timbaland at a private pre-GRAMMY event in Hollywood on Friday.

Timbaland is helping Verizon launch its Mobile Producer in Residence program, where he will use Verizon Wireless’ V CAST service to launch an entire mobile album during the course of 2008. The plan is for Timbaland’s mobile album to be directly and exclusively offered to Verizon Wireless customers.

Timbaland plans to start production of his mobile album at the beginning of March, collaborating with a new guest artist on one track each month.

“I am honored to be named Verizon’s first Mobile Producer in Residence and have the opportunity to create music from so many places in the country, and deliver it directly to my fans wherever they are through their mobile phones,” said Timbaland. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate with many different artists aboard the studio on wheels and taking fans into our recording sessions to see how we do it.”

On Saturday night, Timberlake and Timbaland made a surprise appearance at Jet nightclub in Las Vegas, showcasing old and new music including hits from both music masterminds: Timbaland’s “The Way I Are” and JT’s “Lovestoned,” “Sexy Back,” “My Love,” “What Goes Around Comes Around”, “Chop Me Up” and “Ayo Technology.”

Timbaland, Kanye West, Robin Thicke, Rihanna, and Chris Brown get together to announce the MTV Video Music Awards nominees on TRL on Tuesday.

Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé led the group of nominees, each with seven nominations, followed closely by Kanye West and Rihanna with five and newcomer Amy Winehouse with three. For the full list of nominees, click here!

Performers will include Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Amy Winehouse, Chris Brown, the Foo Fighters and Rihanna (she’s using a cane in these pics not to just look good, she’s still got an injured foot).

Madonna may have more than just Justin Timberlake and Timbaland in her pocket working on her next album.

Although the trio was spotted arriving at a Notting Hill recording studio in London on Wednesday, Keisha Buchanan was also seen entering the studio!

Keisha, 22, is the lead singer and a co-founding member of English girl group Sugababes and the only member of the original line-up to remain with the group.

Madonna seems like she’s ramping up on the collaborators for her forthcoming album!

P.S. Keisha also might recording demo tracks for her own un-released debut solo album.

As reported last month, Justin Timberlake and Madonna are collaborating together for a Timbaland-produced track for Madge’s forthcoming album, which is due out in November.

Timberlake and Madonna were spotted leaving a London music studio separately late Tuesday night after their first recording session together.

Timbaland is also in town but was just seen getting his dinner on at Nobu Berkeley.

“I’ve been working on new music but it’s not for myself,” admits Timberlake. “I’m working on some stuff for Madonna.”
