The 38-year-old 30 Rock actress is up for four individual Emmys. Her hit show is also up for a record 17 nominations, the most for a comedy series in one year.

Oprah Winfrey recently shot scenes for her guest appearance on 30 Rock, which returns Oct. 30. Oprah’s episode airs on Nov. 6. The episode went so well that Tina exclaimed, “I would like to announce that we are officially best friends!” More Here! »

SNL alum Tina Fey made her return to Saturday Night Live last night to spoof Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Fey’s former Weekend Update co-host Amy Poehler imitated Sen. Hillary Clinton.

With the accent, signature glasses and hair bun, Tina was pretty spot on.

FEY-CKIN OVERLOAD

Tina Fey is one hot Mama on the latest cover of Entertainment Weekly. Upper West Side apartment.

On only having “four moves” as an actor: ”four moves” as an actress: ”Eye-rolling; the ability to eat food on camera in real time; I think I’m a decent straight man. Do I have a fourth move? Um, unpleasant dancing.”

On if she really wants a larger fanbase: ”They should draw up an equation: What level of fame do you need to achieve to keep doing what you want? Because you don’t want any more than that. You don’t want someone to take a picture of your butt on the beach…. How do you get to be Christopher Guest? Just live your life, make hilarious movies with your friends, and then go home.”

On doing the movie Baby Mama with Amy Poehler: . ”I liked the topicality of the fertility issues that affect so many people. There’s so much weirdness and emotion about it. If you start with something juicy, you end up with a better [movie] than if you just start with some jokes. And Amy liked that it did not have anything to do with a goddamn wedding.”

Former SNL funny woman Tina Fey takes the May 2008 cover of Marie Claire, on newsstands April 15th.

The 37-year-old 30 Rock star chats about what it’s like to be a huge celebrity - from ignoring underlings to playing outrageous pranks like George Clooney and Matt Damon, to her beauty rituals and what she did during the writers strike.

On playing pranks with SNL comedienne Amy Poehler on the set of her new movie Baby Mama: “We love pranks. I mean, we’re kind of like Cloons and Damon that way, doing a lot of, like $250,000 pranks. I did a really funny prank where I got my assistant to paint all the cars in your neighborhood white so you would wake up and think it was snowing. That was a good one.”

On what she did during the writers’ strike: “I worked out three times. Well, I went to the gym three times, but I only worked out two of the times. One other time I used the bathroom. Actually, I spent the whole time with my kid, which was nice. It was like the maternity leave that I never got. She is now able to pick me out of a lineup of four or five women.”

On good advice from her mother: “Always wear a bra. Whether you think you need it or not, just wear one. You’re not going to look back and regret it.”

Tina Fey is the latest cover model for Parade. The SNL-alum and 30 Rock star dishes on motherhood, the hard work that goes into a hit show and how her generation was ‘tricked’ into trying to have it all.

On not being able to have it all: “I think my generation has been slightly tricked in that you’re really encouraged to try to have it all. And sometimes your body will not let you wait as long as you want.”

On her 43-day maternity leave and return to Saturday Night Live: “I had to get back to work. NBC has me under contract; the baby and I only have a verbal agreement.”

On how she intends on capitalizing on her fame: “I often feel like a complete fool. I’m here laboring over this tiny show so much, and around me people are making money by the fistful. It’s like, ‘Oh, man, how can I turn my personality into a line of crappy products?’ Rachael Ray sells, like, spoons. I could sell pencils.”

And thanks to Fey and musical guest Carrie Underwood, Saturday Night Live had its highest rating in two years when it premiered this season on Feb. 23. That’s up 36% from the show’s pre-strike average!

Saturday Night Live returns this Saturday after a 16-week break forced by the writer’s strike.

Fresh off a recent win at this year’s Grammy awards, Carrie Underwood has been asked to make her second appearance on SNL. Carrie, 24, will perform hits from her new double platinum-selling album, Carnival Ride.

Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey will host this week and Juno star Ellen Page will host next week.

Javier Bardem won the supporting-actor prize for No Country for Old Men and was quite the comedian during his acceptance speech: “Thank you, guys, for hiring me, and thank you for taking the hard work of choosing the good takes instead of the ones where I really sucked.”
