Sarah Michelle Gellar lends her voice toilets as the reporter April O’Neil in the new animated feature TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
The Turtles in a half-shell hit theaters nationwide on March 23.
Sarah Michelle Gellar (The Grudge, Buffy), Chris Evans (Fantastic Four), Zhang Ziyi (Memoirs of a Geisha, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), and Kevin Smith (Clerks) have just been announced as voice talent for the new animated feature film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT).
SMG will voice “April, the human researcher who serves as the Turtles’ tech-services worker and mother figure.” Chris Evans will voice hockey-stick-swinging Casey Jones. Zhang Ziyi will voice “the villain Karai, who leads an evil army known as the Foot Ninjas into battle against the turtle brothers.” Kevin Smith will voice a cameo as a greasy-spoon chef.
As reported yesterday, Patrick Stewart will voice Max Winters.
Patrick Stewart will be lending his voice talents as Max Winters in the animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). Here’s a little more detail on Patrick’s role: “Max Winters goes mad after he was wrongfully fired and begins amassing an army of ancient monsters. Realizing his plan is succeeding, he is no longer satisfied with vengeance against his ex-employer, but now has thirst for World Domination.”
This was the last film for Oscar-nominated Mako, who will play the voice of Splinter. It was announced at San Diego Comic Con the day before he died (July 21, 2006) at age 72 of esophageal cancer. Fortunately, he had finished the majority of his acting.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released on March 30, 2007.
