On today’s show, MTV VJ Damian Fahey asked Rihanna about the rumors of her starting an underwear collection.

RiRi said, “I love lingerie. I love buying it and making it. I would like to [have one] one day but we’re going to start with the fashion first — apparel and clothing. Maybe some underwear for YOU (points to Damian, laughs).

The newly crowned Idol winner David Cook and runner-up David Archuleta make an appearance at MTV studios in Times Square, New York City on Tuesday after an appearance on TRL to promote the upcoming American Idol Tour. (Their segment will air on Thursday.)

Earlier today on Live With Regis and Kelly, Cook, 25, admitted he recently had a dinner date with former Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell. Watch the video at TMZ.

When asked if he had a good time on his date at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Cook replied: “I did. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”

Tom Cruise tries to hip it up with his young costar Michael Peña during MTV’s Total Request Live at the MTV Times Square Studios Monday in New York City.

Tom has been in town promoting his new film, Lion for Lambs, which opens in theaters nationwide this Friday, Nov. 9th. He’s expected to make at least one more red carpet appearance for the film with wife Katie Holmes.

Milo Ventimiglia gets the TRL treatment on Wednesday from MTV VJ Damian Fahey and American Idol guest co-host Katharine McPhee (taped Monday).

The Heroes hottie chats up his cameo for Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry” music video, being Jay-Z’s biggest fan and his directorial debut. Milo developed a comedic mini web-series called It’s a Mall World as part of a marketing campaign for American Eagle Outfitters. The “webisodes” will premiere on August 1st during Real World: Sydney and will also be available at AmericanEagle.com
