Alexander Skarsgard joins co-stars Sam Trammell, Michelle Forbes and Rutina Wesley at the premiere of their HBO vampire series True Blood at Max Linder Cinema on Thursday (November 5) in Paris, France.

The 33-year-old actor was just in Sweden to re-shoot scenes for his new movie, Puss. Two weeks ago at an event in New York City, Alexander spoke to JustJared.com exclusively. Check it:

JJ: Tell us about your character in Straw Dogs.

AS: I play a guy named Charlie who’s a guy from Mississippi who was a big star when he was younger — the quarterback of the football team. He was dating Kate Bosworth’s character, who was the cheerleader — the hottest girl in school — and everything was perfect. He had the best life and people were, like, “You’re going to play in the NFL someday!” And then he got injured and nothing really happened for him.

The movie starts later [in Charlie's life] and he’s in his late twenties — he’s gotten bitter in a way. And [Kate's character] comes back with her new boyfriend (James Marsden), who’s a Hollywood screenwriter. The movie’s about the dynamic between the three of them when they come back, how Charlie reacts to that. He wants her back…

JJ: What was it like working with Kate?

AS: I love Kate. She’s amazing - she’s going to be amazing in this movie. It’s a really tough part, but she did a great job - she’s a very good friend of mine.

True Blood star Ryan Kwanten arrives at Variety’s 1st Annual Power of Women Luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Thursday (September 24) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 32-year-old dreamboat may have been born with an Australian accent but using a Southern one for his hit vampire series helps his focus. “Yeah, it helps me get into character,” Ryan told Just Jared. “It puts me in a different space.”

And has Ryan been watching other blood-sucking shows like The Vampire Diaries? “I can’t,” he told JustJared.com. “I don’t have a T.V.!”

Jon Gosselin had to pull the plug on his Harrah’s Resort appearance in Atlantic City, N.J., this Sunday (September 6) and is being replaced by super-hot Ryan Kwanten, who plays Jason Stackhouse on HBO’s True Blood.

“TLC forced Jon to cancel,” an insider tells Life & Style, referring to the channel that airs Jon & Kate Plus 8. But he’s not alone.

“Kate Gosselin was scheduled to appear at the Resorts casino in Atlantic City on Sept. 4. However, TLC forced her to cancel the appearance,” adds a second insider.

Allan Hyde, who played vampire Godric on True Blood, gets down and dirty in this new photo shoot.

Pictured below is the 20-year-old actor play-biting into 90210 starlet AnnaLynne McCord’s neck (standing besides Hyde’s costar Nelsan Ellis, aka Lafayette).

“Probably one of the reasons [True Blood creator Allan Ball] chose me [to play Godric] was this accent,” Hyde has said of his Danish-British (and slight American) tongue. “It was the thing [Ball] liked about it. You can’t track [Godric] back to one place.”

True Blood pulled in a very healthy 5.2 million viewers this past Sunday (last week was its series high at 5.33 million).

The True Blood season finale airs @ 9PM ET/PT on Sunday, September 13 on HBO.

Lindsay Lohan for sure will be tuning in to watch how the summer’s sexiest series will end.

“Nobody can speak when True Blood is on,” LiLo has told Extra’s Mario Lopez. “Everything about that show is brilliant.”

Evan Rachel Wood talks about her upcoming cameo as Vampire Queen Sophie-Ann on True Blood, airing this Sunday @ 9PM ET/PT on HBO. Here’s what she told E!’s Marc Malkin:

On her character’s sexuality: “She’s not necessarily a lesbian. Her human partner is a girl, but I’m pretty sure she goes both ways. I think vampires are like that in general.”

On Queen Sophie-Anne’s unpredictable love life: “I don’t know if I am having sex with anyone yet but I certainly have a steamy scene with someone that I don’t think you’d really expect.”

On working with Alexander Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer: “That’s another great thing about my job—all of my scenes are with Bill and Eric! I was surrounded by beautiful people constantly.”

On if she had to get naked for the show: “I can’t say I do just yet. But they are bringing me back next season, so it’s always a possibility. It’s kind of inevitable.”

True Blood continues to draw record ratings every Sunday night.

Earlier this week, the vamp series pulled in 5.3 million viewers (12 million if you include DVR and HBO On Demand).

A new episode of True Blood (”Frenzy”) airs this Sunday (August 31) @ 9PM ET/PT on HBO. Watch a preview below!

No new episode will air on Sept. 6 (Labor Day weekend), so the season finale will air on Sept. 13.

True Blood hunk Mehcad Brooks is dripping with sweat after competing in the Tag the World celebrity charity triathlon on Sunday (August 23) in Waikiki, Hawaii.

The 28-year-old actor plays Benedict “Eggs” Talley (the boyfriend of Tara, played by Rutina Wesley) on the hit vampire series and has played Matthew Applewhite on Desperate Houseiwves.

The triathlon benefited It Takes An Ohana (ITAO), whose mission is to offer resources to those concerned with protecting the interests of youth in out-of-home care. More info at TagTheWorldTriathlon.com.
