Vampire Diaries Katerina Graham just sat down for an exclusive interview with JustJared.com. Here’s what the 20-year-old actress dished:

JJ: Hi, Katerina! How are you?

KG: Before we get started, I want to say I’m a really big fan of your blog and I go on it all the time - like an embarrassing amount of time - I hit up your site so the fact that I’m actually talking to you is a little surreal and very exciting. My publicist was telling me about all these other big interviews and he was, like, “Oh, and Just Jared” - I was, like, SHUT UP! SHUT UP! So thank you for taking the time to talk to me.

JJ: That’s flattering, thank you! And congratulations to you on all the Vampire Diaries success.

KG: Thank you! It’s a pretty surreal thing, to say the least. That kind of stuff doesn’t really happen to me so I’m just kind of taking it in. And I’m out here in Georgia, so there are no Vampire Diaries posters or anything like that. We’re pretty much sheltered - we’re just, like, “Oh, shooting a show” and we’re not feeling the magnitude of it.

JJ: You’re in Georgia right now?

KG: Yeah, I’m in Atlanta - well, I’m in midtown - my little bungalow in midtown.

JJ: Which episode are you shooting now?

KG: We’re in episode 108 (airing November 12). It’s called “History Repeating” and it’s a very heavy episode with Bonnie. I just want to stay in and focus, study my lines, break down my scenes and back story. So I’m going to stay home and be a vegetable. (laughs) Stay in and just stay on your site!

The CW has picked up The Vampire Diaries for a full season!

The show boasted the network’s best premiere ratings since the network’s inception and had 3.8 million viewers in its latest episode. There’s an order in for nine more episodes of the show!

Variety reports that Melrose Place also got a pick-up, but for five episodes - the hope is that Heather Locklear’s upcoming appearances will help the show win more viewers for the rest of the season.

Congratulations to both casts on the pick-ups!

Vampire Diaries stars Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Kayla Ewell hit up the checkboard carpet at Spike TV’s Scream Awards 2009 held at the Greek Theatre on Saturday (October 17) in Los Angeles.

Ian, Nina and Paul presented the “Best TV Show” award to the cast of True Blood. From one vampire cast to another!

On-and-off-screen couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer also each picked up “Best Horror Actor” for their respective genders.

FYI: Kayla is wearing a French Connection dress and shoes and carrying a Treesje “Penn” clutch.

The CW finally has something to cheer about. Vampire Diaries delivered breakout ratings!

Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley pulled in 4.8 million viewers, making their show CW’s most-watched series premiere ever.

America just can’t get enough of blood-sucking vampires! (FYI: True Blood’s series finale airs this Sunday @ 9PM ET/PT on HBO.)

Here are some first look pictures The Vampire Diaries, set to debut Fall 2009 on The CW.

The show is based on LJ Smith’s book series. Stefan is described as “gloriously, amazingly, epically beautiful young man” who is actually a 200-year-old vampire who has a strong connection with Elena. His brother Damon, the evil of the two, has also taken a liking to Elena.

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursdays @ 8PM ET/PT (right before Supernatural).
