Jennifer Garner and daughter Violet, 2, are a smiley bunch while soaking in sunny Los Angeles on Wednesday morning.

The 36-year-old actress is looking to expand into the role of a film producer. With producing partner Juliana Janes, Garner recently signed a first-look deal with Warner Bros. for their Vandalia Films production company. Here are two of the film ideas in development:

– Arranged, which was written by [Allan] Loeb and is being revised by Grey’s Anatomy” scribe Krista Vernoff. Story chronicles a modern-day arranged marriage of an unlikely couple whose fathers are friends from the old country. Gary Winick will direct, and Mark Gordon Co. and Scarlet Fire Films will also produce.

– 3 Days in Europe, a romantic adventure following a couple as they face danger and excitement on what was supposed to be the perfect Valentine’s Day vacation. Vandalia Films has partnered with Hugh Jackman and John Palermo of Seed Prods. to bring the graphic novel by Anthony Johnston and Mike Hawthorne to the bigscreen. Eric Gitter and Peter Schwerin are producing for Oni Press through their Closed on Mondays Entertainment banner, and S and Garner are attached to star.

Yesterday, Ben told Access Hollywood a lot about life at home: “Things are pretty great. We’re very happy. Things couldn’t be better. We’re kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home… I’m at a point now where even… vacation sort of feels a little bit like work. I’d rather just kind of chill and take it easy.”

The day before (Thursday), Ben chatted with Nightline about his three trips to the Congo, where he visited refugee camps, warlords and hospitals.

“It’s definitely changed me,” Ben said. “It’s definitely been a part of… I guess a growing sense that I have a responsibility to do something with my life that’s other than just serving mileage in some way… You have a responsibility to your kid and also a responsibility to the world around you.”

Self-Realization Fellowship’s Lake Shrine is the ten-acre home for the picturesque Mahatma Gandhi World Peace Memorial with gardens and a naturally spring-fed lake. There are a variety of flora and fauna, including swans, ducks, koi, and lotus flowers. The Lake Shrine is located a quarter-mile inland from Pacific Coast Highway (25 miles from downtown Los Angeles).

“A report by E!’s Ted Casablanca that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are considering breaking up is 100% completely fabricated,” Garner’s rep told Us Weekly. “There is not one ounce of truth to it.”

Affleck’s rep said, “We usually don’t comment on stuff like this. But you should know sources are liars. If you guys want to do the right thing, you won’t post that item. It’s all BS.”

Mr. Affleck recently talked about his younger brother, saying, “People have been telling me for years now – ‘Casey’s cooler than you,’ ‘Casey’s a better actor than you! I’ve always known about the acting thing – I mean come on, I peaked in Good Will Hunting – but I would just laugh in people’s faces when they said he was cooler. He’s so scrawny, and kinda funny looking. But the more I see these movies, the more I realize… He’s sneaky cool!”

The 36-year-old former Alias star was dressed in a pale yellow summer dress and walked around barefoot. Little Violet wore a ruffly light blue dress and carried around her pink-clad baby doll.

Daddy’s little girl is now 2 1/2!

Ben, 35, has recently been spending time with OneXOne, a Canadian charity that has raised $7.2 million since 2005 for impoverished children around the world. He spoke to a crowd in Calgary about his recent trip to Africa, stopping in Congo, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Sudan. “[It made me realize] how little I had done in my life,” he said. “How shallow I’ve been in my own pursuits.”
