Ryan Gosling and his BFF bandmate Zach Shields have created a very unique video announcing the tour for their band Dead Man’s Bones.

The tour goes on all month and kicks off @ 8PM at Middle East on Wednesday (October 14) in Cambridge, Mass.

Check out the promo below — it involves a dog popping a bunch of balloons! Here’s the vid’s description: “We have been severely influenced by the works of [actor] Jan Michael Vincent and early [philosopher/ novelist] Jean Paul Sartre and I guess this our way of saying “thank-you” to all those who stood for something real and several things unreal. For all the Lou Diamond Phillips of the world who can step out in faith and say ‘please show my date the way out, quick’! This is for you.”

Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields are set to bring their band Dead Man’s Bones on its very first tour this October.

Pitchfork reports, “The actor/musician duo will bring the songs from their band’s self-title debut album to life with the help of a local choir in each of the twelve spots they’re hitting. Their album was recorded with the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir but they can’t bring all those kids on the road with them. Hence, a new group in every city.”

The opening act for the shows will be a talent show, organized by the band and featuring local talent in each city. Amazing! Check out the tour promo video below. It’s almost exactly like one of those videos you watch before you enter a haunted mansion at an amusement park!

Ryan Gosling and his music partner Zach Shields have a band called Dead Man’s Bones, which will release its self-titled debut album on October 6.

Dead Man’s Bones just released a new song called “My Body’s a Zombie for You,” which features a lot of shouting and chanting from the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir.

Ryan Gosling’s indie rock band, Dead Man’s Bones, just posted the live MP3 recording of their new song, “In The Room Where You Sleep”, from their music video wrap party.

“The album is coming, the album is coming,” the band wrote on their MySpace page. “We just wanted to give you this live recording for your iPods or whatever.”

Also featured on the recording: The Silver Lake Conservatory of Music Children’s Choir and Ryan’s bandmate Zach Shields on drums.

Check out the very first music video from Ryan Gosling’s indie rock band, Dead Man’s Bones. It’s called “In The Room Where You Sleep” featuring the Silver Lake Conservatory of Music Children’s Choir.

Gosling, 28, plays the piano and sings vocals. Bandmate Zach Shields plays the drums. According to their MySpace, their influences are “Disney Haunted Mansion, Doo-Wop and 60s Girl Groups.”

Dead Man’s Bones are under Werewolf Heart Records and will perform at the label’s showcase at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas in March 2009.

Ryan Gosling and his older sister Mandi take his dog George for a walk through the streets of Hollywood on Thursday afternoon.

The Gosling siblings were seen grabbing lunch at Byrds Cafe and stopping off at a newsstand to check out the latest magazines. They were also accompanied by Ryan’s BFF Zach Shields, the boyfriend of Rachel McAdams‘ younger sister, Kayleen McAdams.

Earlier this year, Ryan took Mandi with him to the 2008 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, where he was nominated in the “Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role” category for his role in Lars and the Real Girl.

Ryan Gosling shows off his beach body during a ‘boys only’ vacation on the beaches of Miami with — guess who — BFF Zach Shields, the boyfriend of Rachel McAdams‘ younger sister, Kayleen McAdams.

Where are their lady friends?????

The shirtless buddies were spotted splashing water onto each other and checking out the seashells on the shore on Wednesday. Ryan and Zach (rumored bandmates) have also been spotted in Vegas in March and at the airport in April.

Ryan Gosling loves messing the media, arriving with pal Zach Shields (the boyfriend of Rachel McAdams‘ younger sister, Kayleen McAdams) at a Los Angeles airport on Wednesday night.

The 26-year-old Canuck cutie carried around a book by Julian Rubenstein titled, “Ballad of the Whiskey Robber: A True Story of Bank Heists, Ice Hockey, Transylvanian Pelt Smuggling, Moonlighting Detectives, and Broken Hearts.” Pretty much says it all in the title, huh?

Zach was seen carrying a guitar, helping rumors along that he’s in a band with Mr. Gosling.

Ryan, Kayleen and Zach made a brief trip to Vegas together and caught Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce burlesque show back in late March.

Accompanying Ryan to the L.A. premiere of Fracture was his sister Mandi and to the NY screening, his mom Donna. Fracture hits theaters tomorrow, April 20.
