Swiss tennis champ Roger Federer and his wife Mirka are the guests of Vogue’s fashion queen Anna Wintour at Giorgio Armani’s Fashion Show as part of the Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 at the Milano Fashion Center on Thursday (September 24) in Milan, Italy.

Earlier today, Roger withdrew from the Japan Open and Shanghai ATP Masters 1000. “After consultation with my team and doctors, I decided to take the difficult decision to withdraw from both tournaments,” Roger said in a statement. “This will allow me a chance to give my body a chance to rest, rehabilitate and recover from a physically challenging year.”

Zhang Ziyi joins costar So Jisub at the press conference for their latest romantic comedy, Sophie’s Revenge held at Shilla Hotel on Thursday (August 13) in Seoul, South Korea.

The 30-year-old Chinese actress plays a comic book artist who schemes to get her fiance back after losing him to an actress.

“I think the Sophie character is not difficult to understand,” Zhang said, “So when I was acting, I felt that the style of talking and acting belonged to Sophie. But they are not mine, really. When I was playing Sophie’s character, I was totally immersed in it.”

Best actress went to Charlotte Gainsbourg for Lars Von Trier’s controversial Antichrist. Best directing honors went to Brillante Mendoza for Kinatay.

Zhang Ziyi attends the Jury Cinefondation Photocall at the Palais de Festivals during the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on May 22 in Cannes, France.

Last night, the 30-year-old actress hit up the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2009 benefit at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes.

La Cinéfondation is a foundation created to inspire and support the next generation of international filmmakers. It selects each year fifteen to twenty shorts and medium-length films, presented by film schools from all over the world.

Zhang Ziyi walks the red carpet of the Inglourious Basterds premiere held at the Palais Des Festivals during the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 20) in Cannes, France.

The 30-year-old actress made a brief visit last week to dozens of orphaned children and teenagers in Deyang, Sichuan Province. “These children need to know that they are loved and are not alone,” she told China Daily. “Only then will they not feel afraid of society or difficulties in life.”

Zhang is an ambassador for the charity organization Care for Children.

Zhang Ziyi steps out in a cute bordeux pair of Burberry “Ruched Patent T-Strap Platforms” at the Forever Enthralled premiere in Seoul, South Korea on Tuesday (March 24).

Forever Enthralled is a biopic that follows the life of Mei Lanfang, one of the greatest figures in the history of modern Peking Opera.

The film, a biopic on the life of famed Chinese opera performer Mei Lanfang, opens in Japan on March 7.

Stateside, 29-year-old Ziyi might be working with Tom Cruise in Lost For Words, a romantic comedy about an actor who falls for a Chinese director. EW reports that Cruise is considering the role.

Zhang Ziyi attends the premiere for her latest film, Forever Enthralled, during the 2009 Berlin Film Festival at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Tuesday (February 10) in Berlin, Germany.

According to Reuters, Forever Enthralled plays homage to Mei Lanfang, one of the country’s most celebrated exponents of Peking Opera, a traditional Chinese performance art that includes mime, dance, gender-swapping and a shrill, nasal singing style.

Zhang said Mei’s life showed how important liberty was. “Freedom is the most powerful thing in life,” she said. “Sometimes people keep an eye on you, but I still think we have to try as much as we can to keep (our) freedom.”
