Actress and She & Him singer Zooey Deschanel will join her sister, Emily, on a Bones episode airing December 10. It’s the first time the Deschanel girls have been seen on screen together!

Emily, 33, who plays Dr. Temperance Brennan on the Fox drama, will be joined by little sis Zooey, 29, in “The Goop on the Girl” episode. Zooey will be playing Margaret Whitesell, a distant relative of Temperance’s.

“When Brennan’s father, Max Keenan (guest star Ryan O’Neal), makes contact with Margaret, he invites her to spend Christmas with him and his daughter,” Entertainment Tonight reports.

The episode will also include a plot where Temperance and Booth (played by David Boreanz) solve the mystery of a Santa Claus suited-man who was blown up after a failed bank robbery attempt.

Zooey Deschanel tied the knot with Ben Gibbard on Saturday (September 19) near Seattle, Wash.

The 29-year-old (500) Days of Summer actress and 33-year-old Death Cab for Cutie frontman (and The Postal Service singer) dated for nearly a year before getting engaged in December 2008, according to Us Weekly.

Death Cab’s newest single, “Meet Me on the Equinox,” will be featured on the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, out Oct. 20.

Costars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel premiere their latest movie (500) Days of Summer at Hollywood’s Egyptian Theatre late last month.

The movie’s tagline? “Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love. Girl doesn’t.”

Minka Kelly joins her costars Rachel Boston and Zooey Deschanel at the premiere of their new movie, (500) Days of Summer, at Hollywood’s Egyptian Theatre on Wednesday (June 24).

The Friday Night Lights actress wore a fun and flirty spring Dior dress and shoes. Minka accessorized with sparkly Bulgari jewels.

Wednesday was also Minka’s 29th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MINKA!

Earlier today, we reported that Yes Man actress Zooey Deschanel got engaged earlier this month.

That part is 100% true, but not to AFI bass guitarist Hunter Burgan.

A source close to the couple tells JustJared.com that Zooey, 28, is happily engaged to Ben Gibbard, the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service.

Reps for the couple would not comment on their personal lives.

Congrats to Zooey and Ben!

Yes Man star Zooey Deschanel and musician Hunter Burgan are engaged, reports In Touch.

According to a source, Zooey said yes over the weekend of December 20. A friend of the stars confides, “She is so excited.”

Zooey, 28, and Hunter, 32, have been together for nearly a year. Hunter is the third and current bass guitarist of rock band AFI. He played in a band called The Force at the time that he joined AFI.

Reps for the couple have not confirmed the news. If it’s true, congrats!
